NEW YORK WING FACTORY (2464 N Lincoln Ave) will open the doors of its first Midwest location on Thursday, July 23, 2015 with dinner service beginning at 4 p.m. Brought to Lincoln Park by entrepreneur, Hank Koo, this East Coast staple is best known for their signature style of chicken wings and vast selection of unique and local craft brews. While the Chicago shop will feature NYWF’s famed “Factory Wings”, here diners can expect a chef-driven menu that it distinctively unique to the Lincoln Park location.
What makes a Factory Wing? The chef begins with fresh, premium product that is never frozen or preserved. Factory wings are offered both traditional or boneless, each battered in a secret mix of flour and spice, fried twice for the ultimate crispy finish and then individually painted with your choice of Soy Garlic or Spicy Soy Garlic sauce. Regular wings are also available with a selection of housemade sauces - salt & pepper, Hickory BBQ, Soy Garlic, Medium, Spicy Soy Garlic, Hot, Jalapeno BBQ, or for those who aspire to become a fire breather, the ANGRY sauce!
In addition to the mainstay wings, the Chicago menu will also feature a large selection of upscale American comfort favorites to start such as Mac & Cheese with bechamel, cream, gruyere, cheddar and a parmesan-panko crust and Bavarian Pretzels with house ground mustard and beer cheddar spread. All of NYWF’s burgers will be made with two 4 oz. certified Angus beef patties served on a brioche bun. From a classic burger with American cheese and Factory sauce to the Truffled Mushroom burger with smoked gouda and truffle aioli, there is a something for everyone. Other sandwiches and wraps include a short rib dip, braised pork shoulder, and Angry Chicken Wrap featuring signature their boneless wings tossed in buffalo sauce. Lighter options include fresh salads and a vegetarian-friendly Fish & Chips entree served with Just Chips, Factory Slaw, and a lemon remoulade or malt vinegar for dipping. The bar program will focus on rotating hand-selected craft beers, including 20 drafts, up to 30 cans and bottles, and 5 signature cocktails.
The warm and inviting space is divided into two main rooms, allowing for both family-friendly dining and a lively bar atmosphere at the same time. The exposed brick walls, rustic wood tables and benches, and over 30 large screen HD televisions make New York Wing Factory Lincoln Park’s new game day headquarters.
New York Wing Factory will be open 7 days per week beginning at 4:00 p.m., closing at 2 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday. The kitchen will be open until 11 p.m. The restaurant will seat 150 people total, with 20 seats at the bar. NYWF has plans for a weekend brunch service just in time for football season, as well as catering and delivery in the near future.
