New Wicker Park Bar, Yokocho, Announces Weekly Tomodachi Events

Yokocho, a new Japanese-fusion alley bar located in Wicker Park, announces a new weekly event, Tomodachi, to bring Chicago’s artistic community to the public. Tomodachi nights are events where Yokocho has invited individuals from Chicago’s community of talented people doing some awesome things, to curate an evening for their friends.

This Wednesday’s Tomodachi is an exploration of Japanese and Brazilian cultural combinations through food, drink, and music.The curated event, brought to life by the Yokocho team and hosts mixologist Jacyara de Oliveira and DJ Jesse Sandwich, will highlight a mix of Brazilian and Japanese flavors with a one-time-only menu and music. Some of the specials include São Paulo Sakura, a mix of Leblon Cachaça, Brovo Pretty Vermouth, and Sake, as well as the Pinga Pingando, a Lemongrass-infused combination of Leblon Cachaça, Tonic, and Cucumber. A special food menu will complement the cocktails.

The event will begin at 7 p.m and lasts until 12 a.m. Guests should RSVP in advance.
