From a bar full of taps including their flagship “Mexico Calling” brew, to offbeat takes on tropical hazies and takes on Vienna-lager, the beer program is matched with a menu of taco platters, tlayudas and handhelds, all inspired by the street food stands dotting Oaxaca, Mexico’s “Smoke Alley.”

Here’s what’s new at Cruz as of this summer:

  • PATIO: The team has recently unveiled a raised outdoor patio that bleeds onto Randolph Street proper. Complete with hard wood floors, hanging lights, and dotted with planter baskets filled with aloe leaves, the space is inspired by the Cervezerias and Cantinas dotting Mexico’s summer destinations from Oaxaca to Jalisco.
  • LATE NIGHT: Chef Brian’s entire cheffy dinner menu is available until 1:00 a.m. on the weekends, providing an option for late nighters. Paired with  music through the floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto Randolph.
  • BRAND NEW BREAKFAST: On weekends, the team swings doors open at 11:30am to dish out plates of Chilaquiles with grilled ribeye, breakfast tacos, and tostadas.
