Negroni Week is coming up this September. From September 12th - 18th, fans of the cocktail can choose both classic and custom expressions from all corners of the city.

Lardon/Union

A location who’s cocktail program centers around bitter french and Italian liqueurs is showing up and showing out for Negroni Week. The Old Sport swaps out gin for Russel’s Reserve 10 Year Bourbon and pairs it with apple brandy, Campari, sweet vermouth and a mix of bitters — both the smoked orange and cherry bark variety. Woodsy, smoky, with notes of ripe late summer fruit.

The Whistler

Lying in the middle of a lineup of u Negroni twists that this neighborhood craft cocktail bar and music venue will be slinging throughout the week, sits a quirky variation indeed. The Angels Live in My Town is a bright, earthy, and herbaceous Negroni riff featuring blanco tequila and notes of punchy grapefruit and wormwood mellowed out by juicy apricot liqueur.

Osteria Langhe, Testaccio

Featuring their tried-and-true classic, Osteria Langhe will be sharing the recipe for their creation with sister concept Testaccio for Negroni Week. The Osteria Langhe Negroni Classico features City of London dry gin, herbal Cappelletti aperitif, and Cocchi di Torino vermouth from Piedmont.

Venteux

For the smoke-seeking cocktail drinkers, Michigan Avenue’s French brasserie Venteux will be featuring the Le Râtea, made with Del Maguey Vida artisanal mezcal, French sweet vermouth, Campari and smoked cinnamon bitters, served in a martini glass and garnished with an aromatic burnt orange peel.

Chateau Carbide

Their sweet berry twist on the classic cocktail features Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, freeze-dried strawberry infused Campari and a few saline drops to balance it out.
