National Oyster Day Specials at Chicago Restaurants

What better snack than a plate of pristine oysters on a hot summer day? National Oyster Day is coming up on August 5th and we have some deals for you:

The Heritage

Oyster Trio ($20)

1. roasted with chili lime aioli, smoked trout roe, cilantro, pearl onions
2. raw with caviar
3. raw with frozen cucumber and green strawberry mignonette with pickled strawberries

Eight Bar

Golden Hour | Monday-Thursday from 4-6pm

$8 Classic Cocktails (currently includes a Martini, Margarita, and a Spritz)

Dos Urban Cantina

Although Dos is closed the day of the holiday, you can still celebrate with the #TacoTuesday special.

Fresh oysters with mignonette + hot sauce ($19/$36 for 1/2 dozen/ full dozen)

Cold Storage

The seafood centric restaurant tucked inside restaurant spot Swift & Sons, is going BIG in celebration of the food holiday with an "All Day Happy Hour". Guests can pair $7 rosé with $1 oysters from 11AM-11PM. Not enticing enough? For every 100 oysters shucked, a "Golden Oyster" will be plated, and the table that receives it will have their bill bought at that point. 

Bellemore

New to Bellemore is the Oyster Cocktail, a twist on shrimp cocktail served with fermented tomato, Worcestershire gelée & horseradish shaved ice. Guests can taste Chef Jimmy Papadopoulous's oyster dish when opting in for Bellemore's tasting menu.

Ocean Prime Chicago

On Monday, August 5 from 4pm-6pm, Ocean Prime Chicago (87 E Wacker) will be celebrating National Oyster Day with half-off their featured oysters and frozen granita. Glasses of Schramsberg Black de Blancs and Rose will also be available for half-off.
