June 1st is National Donut Day and while Chi-Town has no shortage of fried dough, two restaurants in the foodie city are serving up some treats you DONUT want to miss.
The Warm Coconut Donuts at RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen - a unique Southeast Asian take on the traditional American dessert, these little bites are served with a side of passion fruit sauce for dipping and will have you screaming TGINDD (Thank God it’s National Donut Day).
On the other side of town Grand Lux Cafe is serving up donuts, NOLA style. Whoever said you needed to make the trek to New Orleans for great beignets clearly has never tried Grand Lux’s New Orleans Beignets. Baked-to-order and served warm with three dipping sauces.
