Just before the New Year, Mya by Medi opened in Chicago's River North neighborhood, offering a dining experience blending Lebanese-inspired Mediterranean cuisine with modern design and live entertainment. Led by owner/operator Paul Alqas and executive chef Alexander Willis, Mya by Medi offers a fusion of traditional flavors and contemporary cuisine. 

As a Lebanese-American, chef Alex has worked with a deep love and understanding of the cuisine to create a menu featuring Mediterranean options like hummus and baba ghanoush, with familiar American options like steak frites, alongside more offerings like Mya by Medi’s signature octopus made with a black tahini remoulade, preserved lemon chili crisps and chives, a braised lamb ravioli, and cotton candy ice cream. 

Every Friday and Saturday, patrons are treated to live performances by belly dancers and fire performers. 

"Our goal at Mya by Medi is to offer a refined dining experience that appeals to both the palate and the senses," says owner/operator Paul Alqas. "We're proud to celebrate our culture and excited to bring our unique vision to elevated dining in Chicago."
