Mercadito Chicago, River North’s upscale, authentic Mexican restaurant, participates in Chicago Restaurant Week 2017, with special prix-fixe sharing menus for brunch, lunch and dinner, available January 27 – February 9.

Lunch Prix-Fixe Menu - $22 - $28 with Beverage*

Mercadito’s lunch prix-fixe menu includes a choice of two types of guacamoles, two types of ceviches, three tacos and one dessert.

For the first course, guests will choose two guacamoles. Choices include:

·      Tradicional, tomatillo pico de gallo, jalapeño, garlic, key-lime and cilantro;

·      Mango, jicama, chipotle and pico de gallo

·      Granada, tomatillo pico de gallo, roasted habanero, pomegranate, mint, queso fresco and crispy shallot

Next, guests will choose two ceviches. Ceviche options include:

·      Camarón, lemon poached shrimp, pico de gallo, grapes, pumpkin seeds, lime-piquin broth

·      Mixto, shrimp, octopus, mahi-mahi, pico de gallo, cucumber, celery, avocado, garlic and michelada broth

·      Dorado, lemon marinated mahi-mahi, pico de gallo, grapefruit, green olives, carrots, oregano and citrus-chipotle broth

For the third course, guests will choose three types of tacos. Taco options include:

·      Pastor, ancho rubbed pork, chile de árbol salsa, grilled pineapple

·      Carne, rosemary marinated grilled skirt steak, celery root-poblano fundido and crispy potato

·      Estilo Baja (Add $1) mahi-mahi, chipotle mojo and mexican slaw

·      Camarón, (add $1) roasted garlic, chipotle mojo and avocado

·      Hongos, wild mushrooms, huitlacoche, onions, cilantro, crispy manchego and tomatillo salsa

·      Espada (Add $1) blackened swordfish, chile de arbol aioli, cabbage-jalapeño slaw

·      Carnitas de Puerco, braised pork, cabbage, onions, cilantro, peanut salsa and chicharrón

·      Pollo, epazote marinated grilled chicken, onion, cilantro, morita mojo, delicata squash and crispy red onion

Complete your meal with one of Mercadito’s signature postres that includes a choice of:

·      Flan de Cajeta, goat’s milk caramel custard

·      Flan de Tres Leches, three milk custard

·      Flan de Coco, coconut custard

Dinner Prix-Fixe Menu - $33 - $44 with Beverage*

The dinner prix-fixe menu includes two types of guacamole, one type of ceviche, four tacos (see above) one side and one dessert.

Side options include:

·      Elote Mexicano, Mexican-corn on the cob

·      Arroz Verde, green rice casserole, Chihuahua and Oaxaca cheese

·      Plátanos Machos, fried plantains, ginger-jalapeño sauce

·      Arroz y Frijoles: homestyle rice, black beans

·      Ensalada: mixed greens, corn, jicama, pico de gallo, queso fresco, chipotle-balsamic vinaigrette

·      Mac & Cheese, poblano, manchego cheese and corn

·      Frijoles, pintos refried pinto beans, queso fresco

Brunch Prix-Fixe Menu - $22 - $28 with Beverage*

The brunch prix-fixe menu includes two types of guacamole, two types of tacos (see above) two types of brunch favorites and one dessert, available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Brunch favorites include:

·      Huevos Rancheros, sunny-side up eggs, soft corn tortilla, black bean hash, salsa roja, salsa verde

·      Chilaquiles, corn tortilla chip, Chihuahua and Oaxaca cheese, crema fresca, choice of creamy tomatillo sauce or chile-guajilo sauce

·      Enchiladas, shredded chicken, chile-guaillo sauce, avocado, crema fresca, red onions, Chihuahua and Oaxaca cheese

·      Pancakes, manchego cheese, strawberries, cinnamon butter and maple syrup
