This Memorial Day weekend, Hannah’s Bretzel is offering a breakfast sandwich tray. With a minimum of eight sandwiches in the build-your-own tray, each order comes with the option to add a freshly prepared fruit salad and/or freshly brewed organic coffee or tea to any order. This Memorial Day Weekend, Soul & Smoke is offering their Northshore Special. Enjoy 1 lb of Chef D’Andre’s smoked prime brisket, 1 lb Smoked Pulled Pork, 6oz of Apple Slaw, 6oz Bread & Butter Pickles, Large Mac + Cheese, 1 dozen slider buns, 8oz Original BBQ Sauce.

Sugar Junkie

Sugar Junkie’s (1925 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago (Lincoln Park) walk-up dessert window is reopening for the season on Saturday, May 27 at 2 p.m., just in time for Memorial Day weekend! Sugar Junkie hand-crafts gelato, sorbet, gelato-cookie sandwiches, and take-and-bake cookie dough.

This summer, Sugar Junkie introduces new flavors like Lemon Blueberry Gelato (lemon gelato with swirls of blueberry sauce), Butterfinger Gelato (vanilla gelato with Butterfinger candy bar pieces), Raspberry-Mango Sorbet (raspberry and mango sorbets swirled together), and Monster Cookie Dough (oatmeal cookie dough with mini chocolate chips and mini M&M’s) to choose from in addition to the dessert window’s classic menu.

Kirkwood

Kirkwood's Pre-Memorial Day Party begins Saturday, May 28 at 11 a.m. Guests can enjoy $6 Bud Light/Miller Lite Stadium Cups and $8 Vegas Bombs. They will have a DJ start at 9 p.m. for all night dancing

On Memorial Day, doors open on Monday, May 29th at 3pm. $6 Bud Light/Miller Lite Stadium Cups will be available on special.

All Too Well

Chicagoans staying in town over Memorial Day weekend can choose to picnic in the park with a “Park Pack” from All Too Well in Lincoln Park. Available daily beginning Friday, May 26, the Park Packs will range from $12 to $18 each and include charcuterie, cheese, a pickled item, fruit, crackers, and olives. 

aliveOne

After the barbecues, patrons can head to aliveOne at 5 p.m. for half-off all beer and cocktails from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. along with specials like a $7 PBR and whiskey shot combo. At 8 p.m., guests will be provided free music trivia from Whaddayaknow and free pool all night.

Bartoli's Pizzeria

Bartoli’s Pizzeria in Roscoe Village and West Town will donate a portion of proceeds from sales over Memorial Day weekend to Homes For Our Troops. Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. 

Bartoli’s offers deep dish and thin crust tavern-style pizza, a selection of salads and appetizers like Wings Vesuvio, Badger-style Fried Cheeseballs and more along with sandwiches like Italian Beef, a Pizza Burger and Nonna Bartoli’s Meatball Sub. Bartoli’s is open for dine-in as well as delivery and takeout.

B.A.S.H. (Burger and Sushi House)

In recognition of Memorial Day, Burger and Sushi House (B.A.S.H.) in Geneva will offer 25-percent off for all veterans or active service members on Sunday, May 28. The menu offers hand-crafted burgers, classic and specialty sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, a variety of mac ‘n cheeses, a kid’s menu and more.

Central Park Bar

On Monday, May 29 beginning at 8 p.m. guests will be offered $4 Coors Light and Miller High Life in the 3,500 square foot Backyard Bar complete with covered outdoor bar, bumper pool table, picnic tables, porch swings and fire pit. 

Cody's Public House

Cody’s Public House provides an option for a pre or post game stop for the Cubs vs Tampa Bay Devil Rays game on Memorial Day. Cody’s game day specials will include $4 Old Style tall boy cans, $6 Spiteful Brewing Bleacher Bum Blonde and $6 Cubby Bombs. Guests are invited to “Bring Your Own Meat” (BYOM) and use the grill in Cody’s beer garden. Cody’s beer garden also features TVs, darts and bean bags. 

Easy Bar

Easy Bar will open at 5 p.m. on Memorial Day kicking the night off with half-price happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All night specials will include $4 Montucky Cold Snacks, $5 shots of Espolón Blanco, $5 Underberg and $9 beer and shot combos. Guests can choose drinks throughout the weekend on Easy Bar’s dog-friendly sidewalk patio with seating for 15 to 20 guests. 

Estelle's

Estelle’s will open at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 29. Guests will select a late-night barbecue with half-price BYO (build-your-own) burgers all evening. 

Evette's All Day

Chicagoans looking for alfresco dining options over Memorial Day weekend can partake in the debut of the sidewalk patio at the recently opened Evette’s All Day in Lakeview. Near the corner of Sheffield Ave and Diversey Pkwy, the restaurant offers a sidewalk patio with seating for about 20 to 25 guests. Evette’s All Day melds the Mediterranean flavors of Lebanon with Mexico’s culinary traditions with Chef Mitchell Jamra’s Midwestern roots. Breakfast is served everyday until 2 p.m. and includes items like tacos, a variety of hash dishes and chilaquiles with a pita or tortilla option.

H&C Pour House

H&C Pour House will offer a holiday weekend Happy Hour on Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Happy hour specials include $6 house mules, $7 well cocktails, $6 teeny martinis, $5 select drafts, $3 Malort, $4 Jameson, and $5 house made apple pie shots. A selection of bar bites are also included in happy hour like $5 fries, $6 curds and $7 mac & cheese.

Oda Mediterranean Cuisine

At Oda Mediterranean in Andersonville happy hour specials will be offered from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Specials include Fried Mussel Skewers ($2 each), Falafel ($1 each), Sigara Boregi ($1 each), and half-off glasses of bubbles.

Remedy

Remedy will open on Memorial Day at 10 p.m. for post-barbecue drinks until 4 a.m. New seasonal cocktails include the Al Pastor with Kurvball Barbeque Whiskey, Nixta elote liqueur, pineapple, lime and the Carranza with Ojo De Tigre Mezcal, Cocchi Americano, Lillet, Creme de Violette, and lemon.

The Graystone Tavern

The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will host a Memorial Day Backyard BBQ on Sunday, May 28 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. For a $10 donation, which will go directly to Wounded Warrior Project, guests can select an all-you-can-eat BBQ menu featuring hamburgers, cheeseburgers, beer brats, chips, coleslaw and refried beans.

Drink specials include an $8 22-ounce stein of Empirical Local’s Lager, and $4 for every stein will also be donated to Wounded Warrior Project. The barbecue will be held in their outdoor beer garden with space for 50 guests among 12 tables. Cubs fans can also catch all the Cubs vs Reds game action at 1:20 p.m. on 9 TVs throughout the bar. 

The Owl

The Owl in Logan Square at 10 p.m. for $6 Margaritas until 4 a.m. on Memorial Day. 

The Rambler Kitchen + Tap

The Rambler in North Center will provide free music trivia at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 24 hosted by Whaddayaknow. 

The Rambler will also host brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring $20 bottomless mimosas and $35 mimosa buckets. Brunch options include the scratch-made Country Biscuit topped country fried steak, sausage gravy, and an egg , pound cake Turtle French Toast, stuffed then topped with chocolate, caramel, chocolate chips, crushed pecans and fresh whipped cream, and The Rambler Scrambler with three scrambled eggs, red and green peppers, mushrooms, onions, ham, bacon, sausage, and cheddar, served with seasoned breakfast potatoes.

Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar

Uvae Kitchen and Wine Bar in Andersonville is hosting an in-person “Rosé All Day” wine tasting on Saturday, May 27 at 3 p.m. The $35 per person tasting features 4 four-ounce pours and will be led by Uvae Sommeliers and guest wine makers.

Lottie's Pub

Lottie’s Pub is celebrating this Memorial Day with their Memorial Day White Hot Summer Kickoff Party. Happening on Monday, May 29th from 12-4pm, guests can choose food and drink specials including $25 White Claw & White Claw Vodka buckets, $8 housemade draft margaritas, $8 white cheddar mac & cheese, and $14 white pizzas. Guests will also have the chance to win prizes from White Claw (from coolers to gift cards) through Lottie’s “Best White Outfit” contest and Memorial Day themed trivia that will be happening at 7pm.

Frontier

  • On Friday, May 26th from 7-9pm, those in the city can experience an exclusive dinner collaboration between Chef Brian Jupiter and Chicago barbecue pitmaster Daniel Hammond (owner/chef of Smoky Soul Barbeque). For $79/person, guests at Frontier will be offered all-you-can-eat dinner offerings, including options such as chuck tenderloin, brisket, chicken drumsticks, pork spare ribs, and more. Drink specials include a complimentary Kurvball BBQ Whiskey cocktail in addition to $6 select draft beer, $10 old fashioneds, $8 whiskey sours. 
  • Frontier will also host a Beer, Burger, & Bubbles Bash on Saturday, May 27th from 1-4pm. For $39/person, guests can select samplings of local brews and tastings of bubbly in addition to Frontier-style sliders (wagyu beef, elk, & crab). 

Tanta

  • Tanta will be offering customizable Memorial Day grill kits. With a variety of kits available for purchase, including anticucheros (skewers), prime tomahawk (28 oz), fried chicken, empanadas, and more, Tanta will also be offering prepared cocktails (serving four), with options including Tanta’s Prickly Pear Margarita, El Cholito, and El Chingon. Orders can be placed via Tock from now until Sunday, May 28th at 12pm. Orders can be picked up at Tanta on Monday, May 29th from 11-3pm.
  • Tanta will also be extending their weekend brunch service during Memorial Day weekend and will be opening their doors early on Monday, May 29th. From 12-3pm, Tanta will be offering their brunch/lunch menu where guests can select Peruvian dishes such as avocado toast, steak & eggs, and cebiche. Tanta's rooftop will also be open for service (weather permitting). Dinner service will then begin at 5pm, with Tanta's happy hour menu being offered from 3-6pm (bar seating only). 

Ina Mae Tavern

Ina Mae Tavern (1415 N. Wood St.) will be kicking off Summer 2023 with their Memorial Day Shrimp Boil on Monday, May 29th from 11 AM-5 PM. For only $39/person, guests can order 1 ½ pounds of boiled shrimp, corn, potatoes, as well as Ina Mae’s special punch. Complementing these bayou dishes will be $12 Hurricanes and $9 Hornitos Palomas, in addition to live music.
