What to Know About Maxwells Trading and TenGoku Aburiya Reveal Bento Box Collaboration, First
Japanese gastropub TenGoku Aburiya is revealing its first-ever chef collaboration series, Bento & Co. HIS Hospitality’s Chef Sangtae Park will be teaming up with fellow Chicago chefs to transform their bento box offerings for lunch service.
Beginning November 5th, TenGoku Aburiya is launching the first box of the series in collaboration with Chris Jung, executive chef of Maxwells Trading. The duo will be serving two renditions of their bento box.

BOX ONE: Pork Katsu Bento
AVAILABLE: Tuesday, November 5th - Friday, November 15th for dine-in and takeout during lunch hours (11:30 am - 1:30 pm)
DETAILS: TenGoku Aburiya’s first Bento & Co. box with Maxwells Trading includes a crispy pork chop paired with melon, umeboshi vinaigrette and basil. It’s paired with snow crab maki, classic tamagoyaki (a Japanese rolled egg omelet), zuke, rice and warm miso soup.
BOX TWO: Pompano Bento
AVAILABLE: Tuesday, November 19th - Friday, November 29th for dine-in and takeout during lunch hours (11:30 am - 1:30 pm)
DETAILS: The second bento box from Chef Jung and Chef Sangtae features pompano white fish with a Cantonese-style egg sauce, lemon, and herbs. On the side, this box will also include the snow crab maki and classic tamagoyaki, plus a fresh potato salad, housemade kimchi, rice and miso soup.
