Chicago’s Lula Cafe, from chef and owner Jason Hammel, will host a collaboration dinner with Kismet, the vegetable-focused restaurant in Los Angeles from chefs and owners Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson.
The four course dinner with optional beverage pairings will take place on Sunday May 19th at 4:30pm at Lula Cafe (2537 N Kedzie Blvd), and is in celebration of Sara and Sarah’s new cookbook Kismet: Bright, Fresh, Vegetable-Loving Recipes, which released earlier this week. Tickets are $95 and available on Resy, and books will be available for purchase.
The menu created in collaboration with Lula Cafe’s Jason Hammel and Kismet’s Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson includes:
Smokey Freekah Fritters with Kismet labneh and green zhoug
Grilled Flatbreads
Marinated feta, grilled endive, and chamomile honey
Mushrooms and ramps
Hibiscus and beets
Branzino with preserved lemon, turnips, green garlic, and mustard greens
