Mott St.’s exclusive miso caramel, Monteverde Sparrow Coffee, El Che Bar exclusive Firewatcher Seasoning, Pasta Pappone’s Thai Citrus Ginger Linguini, AYO Foods Shito sauce; curated gift boxes; online culinary experiences; and more all are HERE. Actually Here Here Market, to be precise.

With more than 200+ hand-picked products, the boutique online bazaar connects epicures and restaurant fans with 75+ of the Chicago area culinary creators and artisanal food offerings from chefs, cooks, mixologists, and purveyors.

Founded by Disha Gulati, most recently of Chicago’s 1871 tech incubator and Nicholas Florek, co-builder of Relish Works, a food industry innovation hub, the marketplace platform officially debuts with its Eat Local Pop-Up Market Presented by Here Here Market & Mott St., an in-person pop-up on October 17, 2021.

“Here Here Market is a boutique marketplace for true food enthusiasts and a launchpad for the next generation of culinary entrepreneurs” says Florek. “Our goal is to support the F&B industry by enabling culinary creators to bring their talent and products to the world.”

The pandemic forced restaurants and chefs to devise new ideas to reach diners and foodies. Many turned to digital platforms as a path to stability and a way to connect to consumers directly. A new wave of products and nontraditional vehicles were born.

Early in 2020, co-founders Gulati and Florek, with backing from Relish Works, sought to help diners and restaurants with group dining needs, but as the pandemic forced restaurants to shutter physical locations, the team paused and switched gears. They shifted to enable restaurateurs and food & beverage talent to monetize their expertise and skills by reaching consumers directly online.

“The mission of Here Here Market is twofold: it’s a place where consumers can discover bespoke artisanal culinary creations or the perfect gift for food-centric friends, even taking part in culinary experiences that connect chefs directly with their fans,” says Gulati. “And, because Here Here Market is a creator platform focused exclusively on culinary talent, it provides a centralized hub where creators can generate additional revenue, build brand exposure, scale, and establish sincere and fruitful collaborations."

The roster of Here Here Market’s venors includes Chicago’s chefs & rising stars (e.g. Chef Sarah Grueneberg of Monteverde, Chef Edward Kim of Mott St., Chef Zach Engel of Galit, Chef Won Kim of Kimski, Chef John Manion of El Che, Chef Rishi Kumar of Bar Sotano, Chef Zubair Mohajir of Wazwan, and more) as well as makers like Amanda Christine Harth & Felton Kizer of Monday Coffee Co., Regina Trillo of Nemi Snacks, Sydney Karp Poll of SydPlayEat, Niquenya Collins of Cocoa Chili Foods, and many more. These Little Goat products from Chef Stephanie Izard will be launched in early October.

The Chicago Culinary Creators Celebration presented by Here Here Market & Mott St. takes place October 17, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mott St. Patio (1401 N. Ashland Ave. Chicago, IL 60622). The event is free to the public with advance tickets reserved HERE.
