Links Taproom will return and reopen as Links Taproom & Brewery later this summer in the On Tour Brewing space in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago (1725 W Hubbard St).
“We are absolutely thrilled to finally get Links Taproom back online and into the world,” Links owner and beer director Michael Quinlan said. “It has been an odyssey for sure, but we are finally back. We are proud to present Links 2.0 (the reprise) to all of you - it will be the best of what everyone knew and loved about the original Links plus exciting new things as well. We cannot wait to open our doors and serve everyone.”
On Tour Brewing will cease operations sometime in the spring. Quinlan will have a kitchen installed at the new Links Taproom & Brewery location and will make other updates to the space as well.
Links opened in its original Wicker Park location in January 2014 and closed its doors in March 2020. With its wide array of composed craft sausages (Chicago Steak + Ale Link, 3 Chile Chorizo Link, etc), Buried Alive Fries, fried cheese curds, Links Burger, and more, all of these food menu items and others will be featured at the new Links Taproom & Brewery.
Quinlan is hiring a brewer, and the new Links Taproom & Brewery will brew its own core beers that will be served on its 40+ taps in addition to All American craft breweries’ offerings. Jeppson's Malört on tap and a bevy of Underbergs - non-beer offerings that were signatures at Links - will return as well. Specialty cocktails, a curated back bar, spirit-free offerings, wines, and more will round out the beverage program.
The new Links Taproom & Brewery will feature Phish webcasts, charity event fundraisers, and more. Expect 80 seats inside and 30 seats on the outdoor patio at the new Links Taproom & Brewery.
