Levain Bakery announces their second Chicago outpost will open this Fall 2023 at 408 North Clark Street, in the River North neighborhood, marking their second location in Chicago and thirteenth location nationwide.

Founded in New York City in 1995 by Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald, Levain Bakery is a purveyor of cookies in six flavors: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, Two Chip Chocolate Chip, and the recently-added Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip. In addition to the full slate of cookies, the River North bakery will also feature freshly made pastries, artisanal breads, loaf cakes, sticky buns and seasonal items, alongside coffee from Backlot, a local Chicago roaster.

“We fell in love fast with Chicago and are so excited to be able to serve more locals, as well as visitors to the city,” said the founders. “River North has such a great mix of residents, diners, and offices. We hope to see people stop by for dessert after an amazing dinner, a coffee and a muffin on their way to work, or a sweet treat before taking a stroll along the river.”
