Koi is excited to announce its participation in the Taste of Evanston on Sunday, June 14th from 4-7pm at John Evans Center (1800 Sheridan Road). The Taste of Evanston is the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club’s spring fundraiser, and benefits a number of local nonprofits through the Rotary Club. Koi is honored to be among some of Evanston's top restaurants that are sponsoring the fundraiser and helping those in need.
The event will also feature live big band music on the front lawn. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at http://evlrotaryclub.celebrations.com/tasteofevanston. Proceeds will help the homeless, and go towards purchasing clothing for indigent children, funding for soup kitchens, food pantries, and more.
In addition to participating in fundraising events, Koi regularly gives back to the local community and nonprofit organizations in various other ways. Over two years ago, owner Sandy Chen launched a monthly charity program where a specific charity is put in place for each month, from local organizations to national foundations. Koi has assisted in raising thousands of dollars through this program, helping organizations raise awareness, funds, and grow through community outreach. Koi also launched “Table 23” - the best table in the house and one that can be reserved ahead of time for charitable-seeking guests. 20% of the check will go back to Koi’s chosen charity of the month.
For more information or to make a reservation for Table 23, call Koi at 847-866-6969.
