Everyone has heard the question: “what are we having for dinner tonight?” In fact, 80% of people do not know what they are having for dinner by 4:00 p.m. that same day.
Kitchen United MIX, a multi-ordering concept, has made it easier to answer the dreaded “what’s for dinner” debate. The ghost kitchen facility run by California-based Kitchen United has opened its second Chicago location in the former Wells St. Market at 222 North Wells Street in the Loop with ten kitchen spaces, a central order and pickup area for takeout and delivery, as well as indoor and outdoor seating.
When using the MIX ordering platform, customers can add food from multiple restaurants to the same pickup or delivery order making it easier for individuals and groups to get exactly what they’re craving without having to compromise. Burgers for you, tacos for them? No problem.
“Chicago has served as a great market for our concept. We opened in River North in April 2019 and we’ve really loved being in this city. We couldn’t turn down the opportunity to open a second location with more great restaurants in a new neighborhood,” said Atul Sood, Chief Business Officer of Kitchen United.
The new 10,500 square-foot facility houses the following local, regional and national restaurant brands, now open for business:
● Hawaiian Bros: Hawaiian plate lunches, sides and salads.
● Greenleaf: First location outside of California; fresh food using local ingredients.
● Siri Indian Express: South Indian food.
● Trejo’s Tacos: First location outside of California; Traditional Mexican American Food.
● Dog Haus: Gourmet Hot Dogs + Sausages
● Bad Mutha Clucka: All-natural Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches, wings, sides + more.
● Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos: Tortillas filled with premium meats, eggs, cheese and potatoes.
● Plant B: Plant-based burger and sausage creations made with sustainable plant-based proteins, premium toppings and sides.
“We are thrilled to open our second location in Chicago bringing consumers the ‘MIX’ variety that we’re known for.” stated Andrea Callanta, Senior Director, Consumer Marketing, Kitchen United.
The first Kitchen United MIX opened in Pasadena, CA in 2018 and since then, the company has expanded to communities in Scottsdale, AZ, Austin, TX, San Jose, CA and in Chicago at 831 N. Sedgwick in the River North neighborhood.
The new Kitchen United MIX is open Monday through Sunday from 11am – 9pm.
