The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America virtual communal dinner is this fall on October 18, Capital One is the presenting sponsor and is offering cardholders the exclusive opportunity to purchase a Capital Access Pass.
On October 18 at 8 PM ET, James Beard Foundation’s Taste America will bring chefs and diners from across the country together for a virtual communal dinner to eat, celebrate local independent restaurants, and support efforts to rebuild a stronger and more equitable industry.
The event will take place in 20 cities, where restaurants will use a “Gourmet To Go Model,” allowing attendees to pick up a three-course meal created by a local chef, to be eaten at home. Pick-ups will be scheduled to practice social distancing.
Each ticket includes the three-course meal, wine and whiskey, and access to the national broadcast featuring a lineup of James Beard Foundation friends, chefs, and special guests from across the country.
Capital One cardholders will be offered a Capital One Access Pass, which in addition to the baseline experience, gives them access to a special 30-minute Q+A with the chef in their city ahead of the event and a special gift from Capital One (a bamboo cookbook/iPad stand).
