Big Shoulders Coffee announces that two of their Chicago locations will serve as the Official St. Patrick’s Day After, After Party by offering customers a free 16 oz. Regular Coffee* on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, the day after St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick’s Day “Day After” revelers just need to visit the Big Shoulders West Town (1105 West Chicago Avenue) or Gold Coast (858 North State Street) stores and wear any shade of green (either in the same outfit from the day before or a clean one, no judgement) to receive the free, freshly brewed coffee. Both locations are open from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm for the St. Patrick’s Day After, After Party.

On parade day, TGO is opening its doors for regular service at 1 pm with Celtic music by local fiddler Ben Zorn at the main bar. The restaurant’s back terrace and front patio will be open for the first time this season, where the team will be offering takes on some classic Irish treats. Parade-goers may stop in throughout the day and warm up with Irish Coffee, Baby Beer Shots, Apple Cider, and snack on their choice of truffle or white chocolate popcorn.
Broken Shaker
Beginning the festivities bright and early at 7:00 AM, guests can start their day at Broken Shaker’s cafe with a strong, Irish coffee ($10) in preparation for the parade. Once revelers have had their fill of the St. Patty’s Day parade, they can return to Broken Shaker for beer dyed as green as the river and some bar bites to line their stomachs. Dancing will also be on the agenda as live music will be provided with DJ performances by DJ Audio Jack from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and DJ SukiGeez from 9:00 PM until the beer runs dry.

Located at 314 S. Canal St. in Chicago’s West Loop gate, Canal Street Market & Eateryis the latest project from Spearhead Hospitality.
Canal Street Market’s cookies are available for grab and go to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The shapes will include Shamrocks, Pots of Gold, Leprechauns and more. On parade day, TGO is opening its doors for regular service at 1 pm with Celtic music by local fiddler Ben Zorn at the main bar. Offshore is offering a St. Patty’s Day Brunch Buffet special menu on March 11 from 11 am - 2:30 pm. In honor of the holiday, the bar team has taken a note from the restaurant's Jumpman cocktail but with a St. Patrick's day twist by including a green silhouette of the G.O.A.T. himself on top. Classic St. Patricks' Day drinks like Green Krankshaft and Bud Light will also be available in addition to Irish Coffee, and Irish Car Bombs. Recess at City Hall has partnered with Bingo Loco to bring a St. Patrick’s Day rave to the West Loop on Saturday March 18th. Kicking off at 10am, the tent and River Room parties will include full bars and DJs in both areas.

Sweetwater's annual St. Patrick’s Day party allows guests to celebrate and mingle with bagpipers and classic Irish food and beer features. If weather permits, they offer an outdoor patio that sits directly on the Mag Mile. The party begins at 8am.
Beginning March 8th, Sweetwater will also be serving classic Irish dishes with a twist including Irish Loaded Fries made with house-made corned beef, wood-smoked bacon, Guinness braised onions, IPA cheese sauce, green onions, waffle fries; Pastrami Reuban made with housemade pastrami, swiss cheese, Russian dressing, bacon-braised sauerkraut on marble rye; Irish Bangers made with grilled Louisiana hot link, smoked cheddar and horseradish potato puree, caramelized cabbage and Guinness onion gravy.
