Big Shoulders Coffee

Big Shoulders Coffee announces that two of their Chicago locations will serve as the Official St. Patrick’s Day After, After Party by offering customers a free 16 oz. Regular Coffee* on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, the day after St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day “Day After” revelers just need to visit the Big Shoulders West Town (1105 West Chicago Avenue) or Gold Coast (858 North State Street) stores and wear any shade of green (either in the same outfit from the day before or a clean one, no judgement) to receive the free, freshly brewed coffee. Both locations are open from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm for the St. Patrick’s Day After, After Party.

“The city of Big Shoulders, Chicago, really knows how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day right,” said Big Shoulders Coffee Founder Tim Coonan. “That’s why we decided to offer our customers a free cup of our freshly roasted, artisan coffee as a quick pick-me-up the day after the big celebration.”

The Graceful Ordinary

On parade day, TGO is opening its doors for regular service at 1 pm with Celtic music by local fiddler Ben Zorn at the main bar. The restaurant’s back terrace and front patio will be open for the first time this season, where the team will be offering takes on some classic Irish treats. Parade-goers may stop in throughout the day and warm up with Irish Coffee, Baby Beer Shots, Apple Cider, and snack on their choice of truffle or white chocolate popcorn.

Broken Shaker

Beginning the festivities bright and early at 7:00 AM, guests can start their day at Broken Shaker’s cafe with a strong, Irish coffee ($10) in preparation for the parade. Once revelers have had their fill of the St. Patty’s Day parade, they can return to Broken Shaker for beer dyed as green as the river and some bar bites to line their stomachs. Dancing will also be on the agenda as live music will be provided with DJ performances by DJ Audio Jack from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and DJ SukiGeez from 9:00 PM until the beer runs dry.

Additional special holiday drinks include $8 Guinness, $9 Green Tea Shots, and $12 for an Irish Whiskey Sour. Walk-ins are welcomed but customers can also RSVP on Eventbbrite.

Canal Street Eatery & Market

Located at 314 S. Canal St. in Chicago’s West Loop gate, Canal Street Market & Eatery is the latest project from Spearhead Hospitality. 

Canal Street Market’s cookies are available for grab and go to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The shapes will include Shamrocks, Pots of Gold, Leprechauns and more. Guests of Afterbar can select an Irish Whiskey Sour with Jameson and snack on a Reuben Pretzel featuring pastrami, sauerkraut, gruyere and thousand island for dunking.

Market hours are 7-5pm Mon-Fri and Eatery hours are 11-8pm Mon-Fri. Happy hour is 3-6pm daily. Reservations can be made via Resy.

The Robey Hotel

In the Wicker Park neighborhood, this mid-century modern escape is a boutique hotel that has four venues in one building:

  • Clever Coyote, the bar located on the second floor, will be in full St. Paddy’s day mode with their special Green Fish Bowl which uses melon liquor, coconut rum, blue curacao, lemon, and lime.
  • A Reuben Steamed Bun will also be available at the bar which will include house corned beef, sauerkraut, gruyere, and thousand island.
  • The Up Room and Cafe Robey will also be celebrating with a Green Grasshopper made with crème de menthe, crème de cacao and half & half.

Virgin Hotels Chicago

Cerise, Virgin Hotels Chicago's rooftop bar located on the 26th floor, will feature river views and food and drink specials all day. Beginning at 7pm, the venue will feature live entertainment. If you’re looking for a quick pick me up, the hotel’s coffee shop, Two Zero Three, will have an Irish Coffee Bar available during operating hours. Additionally, Miss Ricky’s is also offering St. Patrick’s-themed fare as well as easy to grab n’ go items. 

For guests traveling into Chicago to participate in the city’s 61 year long tradition, Virgin Hotels Chicago is offering a Charmed Life package which includes 20% off accommodations for select dates throughout March.

City Cruises Chicago

Patrons will have the opportunity to view the newly dyed river throughout the entire St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a Premier Plus Architectural Brunch Cruise on the Chicago River where guests will be provided bottomless mimosas, a 3-course, chef-prepared plated menu alongside views, a narrated architectural tour of the city.

Replay Lincoln Park 

Replay Lincoln Park is transforming its bar into Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, launching March 3 and running through March 18, 2023. The bar, which first debuted this pop up back in 2018, will feature all new photo-ops, a themed cocktail menu, trivia dates, and more. Patrons can grab tickets for express entry on March 11 to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day alongside the official river dyeing with live music beginning at 11am. 

Chicago Firehouse Restaurant

Chicago Firehouse Restaurant (1401 S Michigan Ave) will offer Soda Bread with Salted Irish Butter and choose from 3 new specialty dishes. They have a Firehouse Colcannon made with Irish Pot Roast, Guinness, Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Leeks and Savoy Cabbage. Or the Braised Corned Beef & Cabbage made with Buttered Cabbage and served with Fingerling Potatoes, Brown Bread and Mustard Jus. Or Fish and Chips made with Beer Battered Walleye Pike served with French Fries and Tartar Sauce. Also, Irish Coffee Cheesecake made with Bailey’s Irish Cream for dessert. 

Depot 226

Depot 226 located within the Canopy Chicago Central Loop at 226 W. Jackson is offering $5 shots of Irish Whiskey. The menu featurs flatbreads, sandwiches and more will be 20% off all month long in celebration. 

Thorn Restaurant & Lounge

Thorn Restaurant & Lounge inside the Rose Hotel, located at 5200 Pearl Street, is offering special Corned Beef and Cabbage Special served with Baby Carrots and Horseradish sauce available all month long for $18. On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, Thorn will also offer green beer on draft to pair with the special as well as any menu item off their regular menu. 

Oaken Bistro + Bar

Oaken Bistro + Bar, located in Conway Business Park, will be featuring St. Patrick's Day specials all day long on Friday, March 17. Green Beer and the restaurant's monthly cocktail special, "Absinthe Minded" featuring a mix of vodka, gin, rum, creme de menthe, Midori and a splash of Absinthe. Executive Chef Christian Alejandro has also developed a range of specials for the day including a Corned Beef Hash Entree for breakfast, Reuben Sliders for lunch and a Glazed Corned Beef entree for dinner.

The Fulton Market spot is featuring one of their signature cocktails, the Verdita Sour as a March staple. With a green hue, the Verdita Sour is a sweet and spicy melody made with Blanco Tequila, Pineapple, Cilantro, Mint and Jalapeño.

City Works Eatery & Pour House in Schaumburg, Vernon Hills and Wheeling, is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with twists on classic Irish dishes.

On Saturday, March 11, parade-goers looking for an escape from downtown can head to aliveOne in Lincoln Park. The bar will have festive decorations and specials like $5 green beer and half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On the actual holiday, Friday, March 17, aliveOne will have half-price happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and green beer will be available for $5 while supplies last.

Central Park Bar

Chicagoans looking for a low-key St. Patrick’s Day celebration can enjoy Irish drink specials at Avondale's Central Park Bar. Cody's Public House

Pregame is offered at Cody’s in West Lakeview on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The $30 per person drink package will include green beer, mimosas, bloody marys and all draft beer. Sweet Mandy B's 

Sweet Mandy B’s will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by featuring a “Luck of the Irish” giveaway on Friday, March 17 at both the Lincoln Park and Streeterville locations. Six of The End of the Rainbow Cupcakes (yellow cake with chocolate buttercream topped with gold dust and a rainbow; $4.50) at each location will be filled with a special gold buttercream. Guests who receive the cupcake with gold filling will win a Sweet Mandy B’s prize pack featuring a reusable bag, coffee mug and six cupcakes of their choice. 

Additional festive items available from March 11 through March 17 will include a Lucky Charms Rice Krispie ($5.50), Shamrock Cupcakes ($4.10), Shamrock Cut-Out Cookies ($3.75) and Pot of Gold Cupcakes. At the Lincoln Park location only, a specialty Luck of the Irish Cupcake with chocolate Guinness cake and Bailey’s buttercream ($4.50) will be available.

The Graystone Tavern

The Graystone Tavern in Wrigleyville will open early at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 to celebrate Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The party will feature a $40 food and drink package available from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m that includes a breakfast buffet and unlimited drinks. Guests will select from items like eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and breakfast potatoes as well as drinks including all 20 draft beers, premium cocktails, all seltzers, all bottled and canned beers, mimosas and bloody marys.

Graystone Tavern will broadcast the Chelsea vs Leicester City Premier League soccer match with sound on 9 TVs throughout the bar beginning at 9 a.m. 

The Owl

Located in Logan Square, The Owl will celebrate Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a drink combo featuring a pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson for $9. Open until 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, The Owl will also feature the $9 Guinness and Jameson combo for St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 17 along with half-price happy from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Rambler Kitchen + Tap

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Chicago, The Rambler Kitchen + Tap in North Center will open early at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 11. Two $30 per person food and drink packages will be available throughout the day for guests who book a table of 4 to 6. The Brunch Package will run 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and features corned beef hash, eggs, bacon, potato, waffles, and chicken tenders along with mimosas, bloody marys, and green draft beer. Hannah's Bretzel

Hannah's Bretzel offers an on-the-go St. Paddy's Day themed sandwich this March, with the Dubliner. Made with local artisan corned beef, a juniper-Guinness glaze, Nina's bavarian sauerkraut finished with house-made horseradish dressing on a freshly baked organic bretzel baguette. With three locations throughout Chicago's River North and Loop neighborhood, this sandwich will be available all of March.

Farm Bar

Farm Bar, located in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood is welcoming Irish traditions to their menu lineup this March. With co-owner Ferdia Doherty's Irish's roots, Farm Bar will be introducing a Corned Beef medley this March with multiple variations of the dish available for both Chicago River dyeing and parades the weekend of March 11, but also have specials for St. Paddy's Day. Starting strong on March 11 and 12, Farm Bar's culinary team will be offering a Corned Beef Hash as part of their brunch offerings. For dinner March 11 and 12, Farm Bar will be offering the traditional Corned Beef & Cabbage dish for all diners. Then, on St. Patrick's Day on March 17, will be offering a Corned Beef Sandwich for lunch and the Corned Beef & Cabbage for dinner. FireLake Grill House & Bar

To celebrate the holiday, Corned Beef and Cabbage with baby herb potatoes, Guinness Beer Battered Fish & Chips, and Corned Beef Sandwiches on Marble Rye. Irish Cream Chocolate Cake will also be available to round out the meal.

LG’s Bar & Kitchen

Kicking off on Friday, March 10th, LG’s will open at 2:00pm and offer a selection of F&B specials that will run through Sunday, March 19th such as Corned Beef Sandwich, Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef Hush Puppies, and more. Drink specials include $6 Irish pints (Guinness, Magners, Smithwicks), Green Beer, $10 Irish Mules, $5 Mystery Irish Whiskey Shots. 

On Parade Day, March 11th, LG’s is hosting a “Who’s Your Paddy” ticketed event kicking off at 9:00am. Each ticket includes entry starting at 9 a.m. and 5 drink vouchers that are good for mixed Tito's and Jameson drinks, domestic bottles & draft, Guinness, Green Beer, mimosas, Bloody Marys, and mixed well drinks.

Staytion Market & Bar

Offering takes on Chicago street food made with local ingredients, Staytion Market & Bar, located in the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day March 11 with festive drinks and Irish bites. From green beer, to mimosas to Irish coffee, there’s plenty of options to raise a toast and say “sláinte!” There will also be performances from Dave Johnston on the bagpipes and from DJ 5ive from 10 AM to 1 PM. 

Raised, An Urban Rooftop Bar

On March 11 from 9 - 11 AM, St. Paddy’s Day partiers can start their morning with a three hour open bar, including green beer, mimosas, bloody mary’s, and signature St. Paddy’s Day cocktails. Irish breakfast bites and snacks throughout the morning all with the tune of the bagpipes and dancing to the DJ’s beats. 

W XYZ

Located in the Aloft Chicago Mag Mile hotel, W XYZ  will feature six different festive cocktails, some classics and some creative, including the Irish Lady featuring Jameson, Bailey’s and grenadine, the Irish Handshake featuring a shot of Jameson served with a Guinness, and the Chicago Green River, a combination of vodka and Green River soda. And for those staying at the hotel, send a room service request to the hotel’s robot, Corgan, and he’ll bring you Guinness and Green River.

CHI Bar and Riverside Cafe

At the Sheraton Grand Riverwalk Hotel, stop in at CHI Bar or take a stroll down the green river to the Riverside Cafe for some festive St. Patrick’s Day bites on March 11. Both hotel dining options will serve special menus with Irish twists featuring items such as Corned Beef and Cabbage Stromboli, a Cheeseburger with Irish Beer Cheese, Warm Corned Beef on Rye, and more. 

Stan’s Donuts & Coffee

Starting March 1 through March 17, Stan’s is welcoming back past options for a limited-time-only with four donut varieties including the Emerald Dipped, Shamrock Sprinkled, Irish Cream Bismark and Green River Glazed.

The Dearborn

With specials available both for Chicago’s River Dying on March 11 and 12, and also on St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Food specials include Seafood Chowder, Reuben, All Day Irish Breakfast, Dearborn’s Fish & Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, and Shamrock Cookies. Offshore is offering a St. Patty’s Day Brunch Buffet special menu on March 11 from 11 am - 2:30 pm. For $45 per person, guests can dig into to offerings including Green Eggs & Ham, Breakfast Hash Potatoes, Fresh Fruit, Smoked Salmon Boards complete with bagels, chive cream cheese, cucumbers, capers, onions, hard boiled eggs and Lox and a French Toast Souffle. In addition, every guest can kick off the morning with a complimentary Caramel Apple Shot. Reservations are available on Opentable.

Michael Jordan's Steak House Chicago

In honor of the holiday, the bar team has taken a note from the restaurant's Jumpman cocktail but with a St. Patrick's day twist by including a green silhouette of the G.O.A.T. himself on top. Classic St. Patricks' Day drinks like Green Krankshaft and Bud Light will also be available in addition to Irish Coffee, and Irish Car Bombs. For those just looking for a green cocktail to sip on, grab a green Appletini (or an Appletini-inspired shot before heading to the parade). 

Recess

Recess at City Hall has partnered with Bingo Loco to bring a St. Patrick’s Day rave to the West Loop on Saturday March 18th. Tons of random prizes will be given out throughout the night like international trips to Dubai, Bali and continental flights across America.  Doors open at 6:30p.m., and the show ends at 11 p.m. Tickets are available via Bingo Loco.

The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown

The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown is offering a special viewing party to watch the River Dyeing in their Penthouse from 8am-Noon on Saturday, March 11. Take the elevator for an experience on thePenthouse level, 39 stories in the sky. #SeeWhatSonestaSees with views of the State Street and Michigan Avenue sides of the river, while enjoying the Penthouse lounge, outdoor terrace (space heaters included!) party favors, DJ and more. A breakfast buffet of dishes such as house made corned beef, biscuits & sausage stout gravy sandwiches and lucky charm pancakes will be complemented by an open bar with spirits, wine, green beer and plenty of Irish-inspired craft cocktails. This event is also kid-friendly and will include offerings for little ones.

Hoyt's Tavern

Views from the river's edge with a full bar and bites at Hoyt's Tavern. Move through the main dining room, outside patio, and River Room with specialty cocktails, green beer, and snacking on Irish-inspired dishes. The Main dining opens at 6:30am and will serve breakfast until 11am. The Main dining room bar will remain open until 12:30am. Kicking off at 10am, the tent and River Room parties will include full bars and DJs in both areas. 

Entry is free and guests can order order ala carte. Coming in with a group? Purchase tickets that include reserved booth seating inside Hoyt’s for up to 6 people + all-you-can-drink green beer and Irish inspired bites from 10am-2pm ($740).

Ina Mae Tavern

Get a head start on your celebrations by stopping in on Saturday, March 11th as Ina Mae will be opening their doors at 11 AM, with live music happening between 12-3 PM. Starting at 4 PM on Friday, March 17th, Ina Mae will be offering St. Patrick’s Day-inspired drink specials, such as $5 Old Style Drafts, $8 Bushmills Irish Coffees, and $8 Bushmills Frosty Leprechauns.

Sweetwater Tavern & Grille

Sweetwater's annual St. Patrick’s Day party allows guests to celebrate and mingle with bagpipers and classic Irish food and beer features. If weather permits, they offer an outdoor patio that sits directly on the Mag Mile. The party begins at 8am.

Beginning March 8th, Sweetwater will also be serving classic Irish dishes with a twist including Irish Loaded Fries made with house-made corned beef, wood-smoked bacon, Guinness braised onions, IPA cheese sauce, green onions, waffle fries; Pastrami Reuban made with housemade pastrami, swiss cheese, Russian dressing, bacon-braised sauerkraut on marble rye; Irish Bangers made with grilled Louisiana hot link, smoked cheddar and horseradish potato puree, caramelized cabbage and Guinness onion gravy. Sweetwater will also be serving Irish Mules made with Jameson, ginger beer, lime juice, and bitters. The Irish-inspired menu items will be available through March 17th. 

Old Town Pour House

Old Town Pour House (1419 N Wells St) is celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, March 11th with a Kegs & Eggs party beginning at 8am. The event will include a breakfast buffet and $5 drink specials (green beer, bloody marys, mimosas, and Guinness).

The Hampton Social

The Hampton Social is celebrating St. Patrick's Day this year with green frosé. The limited time cocktail is made with Tito's vodka, rosé wine, and peach purée and costs $16. Available at all Chicagoland locations from March 10th through March 17th.

Barrio 

Barrio guests will be offered housemade brunch entrees like the Churro Breakfast Sandwich and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes while sipping on bottomless brunch cocktails, such as Blood Orange Mimosas, Bloody Marys and Bloody Marias, for $35 per person. For a bigger group, Barrio offers a Taco Tower that features 12 mix & match tacos, classic guacamole & chips, choice of chicken, steak, shrimp ($85). Bottomless brunch kicks off at 10am.

Bandit

Bandit on Two (Bandit's second floor) on Saturday, March 11th is celebrating St. Patrick's Day. From 9am - 12:00pm, ticket holders will be offered:
