I AM A GENTLEMAN, INC. in partnership with Mariano’s will be reaching out and serving the community through its Second Annual initiative, Sunday Dinner. Sunday Dinner will travel across the Chicagoland area to different neighborhoods providing 100 residents, guests and friends with a fully cooked meal. I AM A GENTLEMAN, INC. (IAAG) is a national organization that mentors and empowers African American male teens through various programs and activities and teaches them what it means to give back to others.
Sunday Dinner is designed to promote unity within the community and to allow families the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal.
“When I was growing up, the highlight of my Sunday was having dinner with my family,” said Jermaine Lawrence Anderson, Founder & Executive Director of IAAG. “Partnering with Mariano’s and their cadre of award-winning local chefs and caterers, we will be providing meals that will include an entrée, 2-3 side dishes, dessert, beverages and all of the cutlery needed to make dinner complete. I can remember my home on a Sunday afternoon being filled with the savory aroma of home cooked food. If my family had a busy week and didn't get to gather any other time we made it a point to get gathering around the table for Sunday dinner. Now that families are moving in different directions, Mariano’s is helping us to recreate the values of family, of community and of dinner.”
