Home Run Inn will partner with Big Green and Stein Learning Gardens to donate 500 frozen pizzas, feeding 2,000 South Side Chicago residents in need, to Saint Sabina Church at 1210 W 78th Place, Chicago, IL on Tuesday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. in support of “Giving Tuesday.” The first 500 drivers in line will receive a frozen cheese, pepperoni or sausage pizza and healthy recipe cards. The nationally-recognized holiday will kick off frozen pizza donations in the Chicagoland area to first responders, hospital staff and families in need throughout December.
“We are grateful to Home Run Inn for recognizing the great need across the city for food. By stepping up to donate 500 pizzas to the community, their contributions make Giving Tuesday truly a day of giving!” said Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Michael Louis Pfleger.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Home Run Inn
has donated upwards of 30,000 pizzas, feeding an excess of 80,000 families in need, hospital workers and first responders in the Chicagoland area.
