Chicago Game & Gourmet, in collaboration with George Trois Group’s Chef Michael Lachowicz are unveiling the launch of their new at-home recipe kit experience, Home Kitchen Gourmet. The  kits bring dishes to customer’s doorsteps with written recipes, flavors, and ingredients.

“What started as a fun experiment during the height of the pandemic has turned into an exciting business that we are incredibly thrilled to launch here in Chicagoland,” says Chicago Game & Gourmet owner and Home Kitchen Gourmet principal Peter Andrews. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring local customers the same, high-quality meats and ingredients that we supply to some of our city’s top restaurants. Working directly with expert Chefs like Michael, we’re able to elevate the experience to another level.”

Home Kitchen Gourmet recipe kits are developed with the home cook in mind. Created by Chef Lachowicz with recipe collabs from other local chefs like Chef Carlos Gaytan (Tzuco) and Chef Cameron Grant (Osteria Langhe), recipes are developed individually so that the customer can curate a menu based on occasion, taste, and any other personal preference they might desire. Home Kitchen Gourmet offers a variety of appetizer, entrée, side dish, dessert, and other accoutrement recipes.

“These are not your mother’s meal kits,” says Home Kitchen Gourmet partner and Chef Michael Lachowicz. “Peter’s products are incredible, and the recipes we’re helping customers create with these kits are special, adventurous, and most of all, delicious. We are bringing a restaurant-level meal to your kitchen at home; a dining experience that you prepare and that will truly impress your family and friends.”

A variety of appetizers range from Escargot Canapes or the HKG Essential Charcuterie Kit, to items like Chipotle-Lime Party Wings or Garlic-Herb Baked Shrimp. Entrees including Bangkok-Style Beef Short Ribs, Sweet and Sour Duck Breast with Figs, and Pork Chops with Black Trumpet Mushrooms and Apples will be available. A selection of sides like Almond-Ginger Forbidden Rice and Blue Cheese Potato Gratin help round out customers’ menus, along with desserts like Truffle Honey Drizzled Whole Milk Ricotta. Accoutrements like truffle sauce and a collection of compound butters will also be offered.

Epicureans across Chicagoland can now order Home Kitchen Gourmet recipes direct to their door online. Each kit comes with a recipe card and preparation instructions written by Lachowicz. Found directly on the website, many recipes are also accompanied by step-by-step cooking videos in which Lachowicz walks customers through the recipe offering tips along the way. Kits range in price from $20 - $120.
