With the holiday season poised to look much different this year, Chicagoans are looking for safe and creative ways to keep its magical spirit alive, start new traditions, and support local businesses. Enter: The Fields of Michigan holiday pop-up at Mott Street’s outdoor patio.

The Fields of Michigan opened in 2019 by Chicagoland native Irene Wood and undergoing an expansion ahead of it’s 2021 season  – and will bring its experience luxury the Mott Street patio for a weekend-long, outdoor holiday collaboration created with current mitigation and safety protocol top-of-mind. Mott Street’s Mott Market, which offers a variety of housemade bottled sauces and craft cocktails that reflect its Asian-American culinary style, will mark the start of the holiday season in collaboration with The Fields, offering ways to safely experience The Field’s take on holiday cheer, explore a selection of holiday gift ideas from Mott Street, and create holiday décor that celebrates The Fields’ natural surroundings of South Haven Michigan.

From Friday, November 27th – Sunday, November 29th, those visiting the Wicker Park patio (1401 N. Ashland) will be offered this pop-up experience in a heated outdoor setting (with heating lamps and vented roof) while remaining socially distanced:

  • Glamping Vibes, Fireside –  Wood and her team will bring a mock tent set up and festive wintry back drop, for snapping a quick holiday photo. A S’mores cocktail inspired by The Fields will be available onsite ($13), along with S’mores-making kits for around the fire – ($9), and Hot Apple Cider Donuts ($6). Mott Street’s full menu will be available for carryout to those who would like to take a meal home with them after the experience, and The Fields’ festive winter décor will be on display at Mott Street through Sunday, December 6.
  • Outdoor Holiday Wreath Station – At The Fields, guests’ stays are driven by the curation of experiences. For this holiday pop-up, The Fields brings their qualities to a holiday pastime with a decked out wreath-making station on the Mott Street patio. Guests will start with a handmade, 22” wreath created from sprays of Blue Spruce and other foliage sourced directly from The Fields’ 30-acre farm in South Haven, Michigan. A variety of organic holiday embellishments including dried apple, dried orange, pine cones, and more, will be available to decorate and personalize wreaths. Those who would like to create their wreath as they imbibe outside can do so, or they can request a selection of embellishments to-go and assemble their holiday wreath at home ($45).
  • Onsite Christmas Tree Lot – For many, the holiday season starts with a Christmas Tree. Throughout this pop-up weekend, an onsite tree lot will offer a variety of 7 ft. Christmas trees, courtesy of Botte & Branch. Complete with a selection of lights and tree stands to add-on, trees can be taken home from Mott Street or guests can schedule a convenient time for home-delivery with the Bottle & Branch team.

Attendance at The Fields Holiday Takeover at Mott Street will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, however visitors can also choose to reserve their fireside s’mores moment ahead of time via Tock for $9. All attendance will remain in strict accordance with Chicago’s current safety and capacity guidelines. Hours include: Friday 11/27 (4 p.m. – 9 p.m.), Saturday 11/28 (11 a.m. – 9 p.m.), Sunday 11/29 (11 a.m. – 9 p.m.).
