Houndstooth Saloon, the country bar in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood, is now offering their Winter Wonderland featuring heated “mini houses.” Eight mini houses are available and allow six people in each to offer a safe, socially distanced experience.
On New Year’s Eve, Houndstooth will be offering a special package for two different time slots in the mini houses which include an all-you-can-eat shrimp and crab boil with corn and red potatoes, unlimited appetizers, chef’s dessert, and unlimited drinks (draft beer, wine, call liquor).
The first time slot is available from 6 to 9 p.m. for $100 per person (must have four to six people) and the second time slot is from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for $125 per person (must have six people). Reservations are required and first come, first serve. To reserve your mini house, email rolltidereservations@dovetail.group. Houses will be available with a regular menu through the spring.

The West Loop restaurant will offer special to-go feasts, their seasonal tamale menu and more. The feasts feed two to four people and options include the following:
Pollo al Horno ($40): whole oven-roasted amish chicken with a sweet and spicy rub; Nopalitos Salad with garlic, onion, sauteed prickly pear cactus, Dijon mustard vinaigrette, pico de gallo, fresno chile and queso fresco; and sides of tomato sauce rice, salsa de arbol and hand-pressed tortillas.
Dos Huaraches ($25): Mexico City-style heirloom blue corn huarache, sauteed oyster mushrooms, grilled seasonal veggies, refried beans, crema, queso cotija, pickled red onion, baby spinach and roasted jalapeno salsa. Sides include tomato sauce rice, salsa roja and chips.
Parrillada ($55): grilled skirt steak, chicken breast, chorizo, rajas poblanas, grilled veggies and queso fresco. Sides include tomato sauce rice, beans, salsa de arbol and hand-pressed tortillas
The seasonal tamales menu will also be available. Three tamales are $40 for three with choice of rajas con queso, pollo en mole poblano and short rib en salsa roja.
Several cocktails to-go options will be available to mix and match. A four pack (10-ounce bottles, eight servings) is $60 and a two pack (10-ounces bottles, four servings) is $30.
The Mexican restaurant will offer brunch beginning at 11 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Due to the architecture of La Josie’s main floor, the large open-air windows allow guests to safely (and legally) dine-in through the winter season. Seating in the heated, outdoor tent is also available.
In addition to the full brunch menu, La Josie will offer traditional specials like the limited, seasonal tamale menu and Pozole Verde, with Amish chicken, hominy, poblano, rabanitos, cabbage and oregano. Specialty brunch cocktails will also be available. Reservations are available via Resy.

Alternatively, holiday roasts alone or full-fledged feasts with all of the trimmings and accompanying bottles of wine that pair with each dish are now available through the New Year. Pre-order a USDA Prime Rib Roast or a Tenderloin Roast online for in-restaurant pick up through ChowNow or call the restaurant directly for last minute orders (allow 24 hours advance notice). Smith & Wollensky does all of the work so that all you have to do is turn on the oven.

Houndstooth Saloon, the country bar in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood, is now offering their Winter Wonderland featuring heated “mini houses.” Eight mini houses are available and allow six people in each to offer a safe, socially distanced experience.
On New Year’s Eve, Houndstooth will be offering a special package for two different time slots in the mini houses which include an all-you-can-eat shrimp and crab boil with corn and red potatoes, unlimited appetizers, chef’s dessert, and unlimited drinks (draft beer, wine, call liquor).
The first time slot is available from 6 to 9 p.m. for $100 per person (must have four to six people) and the second time slot is from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for $125 per person (must have six people). A bottle of Bisol Jeio Prosecco (750ml) is available for $12.

For New Year's Eve, Tuscan Hen will be offering housemade Fettuccine to cook at home with a seafood sauce of lobster, crab, and shrimp. Smith & Wollensky is open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day this year for those looking to reserve a table or space in a private dining room for a in-restaurant dining experience.
Alternatively, holiday roasts alone or full-fledged feasts with all of the trimmings and accompanying bottles of wine that pair with each dish are now available through the New Year. Pre-order a USDA Prime Rib Roast or a Tenderloin Roast online for in-restaurant pick up through ChowNow or call the restaurant directly for last minute orders (allow 24 hours advance notice). Smith & Wollensky does all of the work so that all you have to do is turn on the oven.
Also available as a complete meal that serves 4-6 guests, selected roasts can be accompanied by signature S&W sides and dessert. Wine enthusiasts can also add a bottle of sauvignon blanc and one of Smith & Wollensky’s proprietary red blends for $75 or a bottle of 100% Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon for $120.
