HIDE+SEEK takes over the former Vivo space at 838 W. Randolph.

HIDE+SEEK’s American menu offers a balance between both vegetable and protein forward small plates, and grand plates. Small plates include house-made malfatti dumplings, in a ‘nduja butter sauce and a thin-sliced short rib “bulgogi” marinated in grape mostarda and served over hearty farro. Grand plates include a 60-day dry aged ribeye and pan-roasted dover sole with corn and citrus beurre blanc. Following dinner, diners can choose the banana rum brownie, a dessert served with homemade banana gelato.

The cocktail program has been designed with the cuisine in mind, and uses French, Italian, and American spirits, the same regions highlighted throughout the menu. Options include the Raspberry Beret, a nod to the classic Clover Club, and the City of Lights, a cocktail that brings a floral whiskey and grapefruit to the forefront. Earning its own section, the Negroni Series consists of a negroni, containing only Italian spirits, in addition to three variations. If you prefer to drink your dessert, cocktails are offered on the after dinner drinks menu, like the orange brulee; a cocktail topped with cold foam and grated chocolate.
