Hard Rock Cafe Hosts Culinary Fight Club Pitmaster Throwdown Challenge

On Monday, June 19, Hard Rock Cafe will host a Culinary Fight Club Pitmaster Throwdown Challenge from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., where four local Chicago chefs will battle it out. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Fight2Feed, a non-profit with a mission end hunger in Chicago by partnering with local restaurants to reduce food waste and share food with people in need.

Participating chefs will have two hours to create their dish that combines the art of BBQ, grilling and open fire cooking. Industry experts will judge contestants based on presentation and how well the chefs have mastered the pit by cooking up the perfect protein and two sides.

Competing chefs include: Dylan Lipe, The Budlong Hot Chicken; Hipolito Sanchez, Slow Motion For Meat; Kristina Gaardbo, Chicago Culinary Kitchen and Rockin Rodizio; and Corey Rice, a Chicago home cook.
