Hannah’s Bretzel is teaming up with Chef Paul Kahan of One Off Hospitality Group as part of their next sandwich Chef Series. The sandwich, named The Guide's Special, takes inspiration from Kahan’s fishing trips to the Northwoods in Wisconsin with friends. The sandwich is made with antibiotic and growth-hormone free turkey, French cured ham, local, fresh Mighty Vine tomatoes, citrus cancale seasoning, spicy miso mayo, dijon mustard, crunchy romaine hearts, red onions, smoked gouda, and ground pepper, between Hannah's Bretzel’s house-made freshly baked organic bretzel bread.

“This sandwich is inspired by my fishing trips to my cabin up in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. Every year I go with my neighbor Leo, who acts as our guide.” says Paul Kahan. “ I made this sandwich for us as a treat after being out in the woods all day. I’m excited to team up with Hannah's Bretzel and share this creation with Chicagoans.”

As a part of the Chef Series, Hannah’s Bretzel donates a portion of proceeds from the limited-time sandwich to charity. As animal lovers, Florian and Paul felt inspired by the work of mutual longtime friend and One Off Partner Eduard Seitan’s charity Bark4Compassion. For The Guide’s Special, 25% of proceeds will go to Bark4Compassion, an organization that helps animals escape from kill shelters and euthanasia. In addition, the organization offers free flights to animals seeking medical care, foster care and forever homes.

Hannah’s Bretzel has been collaborating with Chicago chefs as a part of their recurring Chef Series program, which gives chefs the space to bring their dream sandwich flavors to life. Florian Pfahler, owner of Hannah’s Bretzel, and Paul Kahan are long time friends that share a mutual passion for food and sustainability.

The Guide’s Special will be available for a limited-time starting February 19 at all three Hannah’s Bretzel locations throughout the downtown Chicago neighborhoods, including River North and the Loop, as well as for delivery and catering.
