After announcing five 2024 BCS variants this summer, Goose Island is back with an announcement: it is welcoming back Bourbon County Brand Rare Stout and Rare Day this year.

In 2010, Goose Island introduced a beer with its first-ever barrel expression variant - Bourbon County Brand Rare Stout.

This year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of opening the doors to the Goose Island Barrel House, Goose Island is reprising that release with its 2024 Bourbon County Brand Rare Stout. This double barrel imperial rye stout was fully aged in barrels that held the King of Kentucky bourbon.

To celebrate this release, Goose Island is bringing back Rare Day with two separate sessions on Saturday, November 16th. Taking the place of "Prop Day" as an outdoor street fest outside the Goose Island Fulton Taproom in Chicago, Rare Day will be an opportunity to get a first taste of this year's lineup, including Bourbon County Rare Stout.

2024 Bourbon County Brand Rare Stout will be available on Black Friday exclusively at Goose Island locations in Chicago.
