For 51 years, Two Way Lounge was one of Logan Square’s longest running late night bars. Recently, they served their last drink.
The 1,280 square-foot neighborhood dive had been operating at the corner of Milwaukee and Fullerton since 1967. The Logan Square staple kept things simple and the drinks inexpensive. Worn-in stools, no-frills and plenty of regulars were part of its grimy charm.
The team behind one of Chicago’s ramen spots, Furious Spoon, Anshul Mangal and Chef Shin Thompson, have teamed up with mixologist, Dustin Drankiewicz of Moneygun for their latest project – Deadbolt.
The new owners will keep the integrity of the original space, cleaning it up and giving Deadbolt a modern vibe. Expect live pop-up music performances and the return of the ever-so-classic bandstand. Deadbolt opens this winter.
