Furious Spoon, has recently opened it’s second location at 2410 N. Milwaukee Ave. The 1,600 sq. ft space features 70+ seats, a full bar and a seasonal patio.
The main menu features Furious Spoon staples including Shio, Shoyu, Vegetable and Furious Ramen bowls all made with Chef Shin Thompson’s house-made noodles. Ramen alternatives include a Furious Beef Rice Bowl with spicy beef brisket, snow peas and eggplant as well as a Loaded Ahi Poke Bowl with cabbage, kikurage, roasted garlic and nori.
The cocktail program offers ten cocktails, two of which are frozen, as well as three “Furious Bombs” – upgraded versions of sake bombs. Highlights include the Mo’ Melon, Mo’ Problems made with Death’s Door Gin, fresh melon juice, and passionfruit, the Ol’ Dirty Fashion, Evan Williams 100 Proof Bourbon, toasted sesame and angostura as well as the Worst Behavior, a frozen drink made with Kappa Pisco, Death’s Door Gin, combier, matcha green tea and Japanese citrus.
The late night menu, available after 9 p.m., features Duck Ramen and Japanese bites including Chicken Karaage, a Japanese version of fried chicken marinated in sake and spices, Veal & Mushroom Gyoza, Japanese dumplings and Scallop and Crab Motoyaki, a dish from Thompson’s Boinsoree featuring baked scallop, crab and ponzu aioli served in a scallop shell.
