Fresh Stack Burger Co, a fast casual restaurant and bar, has announced the opening of its bar and expanded patio at 11 a.m. on Friday May 29 at 20413 N Rand Rd in Kildeer Village Square. The “better burger” concept developed by Sean Thomas, Grandson of Wendy’s Founder Dave Thomas, Fabio Viviani Hospitality Group and other industry veterans, is working with the Village of Kildeer to help the community safely dine outdoors as Illinois enters Phase 3 of its reopening plan. The restaurant officially opened to the public on May 11 for carry-out, curbside and delivery services.
Guests will be able to peruse the restaurant’s food and drink offerings via a walk-up menu board and will be greeted by a “Covid Concierge” during peak hours who will take their orders and direct them to the socially distanced outdoor dining tables. Guests will be notified when their food orders are ready to be picked up at the carry-out counter inside the restaurant, with the Concierge ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Staff will be continually managing guest flow and capacities, and orders will be safely taken at the counter during non-peak hours.
The restaurant will also be serving a selection of domestic and craft beers, wine, barrel-aged cocktails and a few craft-made ultra-refreshing summertime drinks upon opening and plans to expand to full bar service in the near future. The bar, which has indoor and outdoor access, allows guests to safely place their bar orders from the patio.
“We are excited to bring a fuller version of the Fresh Stack experience to the people of Kildeer and southwestern Lake County” says Sean Thomas. “We’ve worked closely with Kildeer Village officials to expand our outdoor seating during this phase of the reopening. We’ve added a few dozen additional seats by expanding our patio into a portion of the parking lot that’s been cordoned off by planters and other decorative elements. Our goal is to be a place where folks can safely gather to enjoy food, drinks and the warmer weather during these unprecedented times.”
The founders of Fresh Stack have created a space that is decidedly not fast food, but rather, a place where diners can enjoy fresh, made-to-order restaurant-quality food – fast. The menu features hormone and antibiotic-free all-American beef burgers, fresh chicken sandwiches, salads, shakes and more.
