Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, located in Wicker Park, will host a huge giveaway to celebrate National Noodle Day on Friday, October 6. Beginning at 4 p.m., during dinner only, Kizuki will give away 100 FREE bowls of their signature Tokyo Shoyu Ramen. The ramen will be available first come, first served.
All guests who come for the free ramen will be encouraged to donate to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and help out those in need for the upcoming Holiday season. Kizuki will match 50-cents to every dollar donated.
Kizuki will also feature a Facebook and Instagram giveaway in which they will give away an additional 200 bowls off the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen to the first 100 followers on both Facebook and Instagram to like as well as share the post.
A very traditional Tokyo-style ramen, the Shoyu Ramen (regularly $9) is made with a light chicken and pork broth fused with Kizuki’s house made roasted oil and soy sauce seasoning, resulting in a marvelous tasting broth that is slightly sweet yet savory and light on the palate. The ramen comes with thin “Chuka” noodles that complement the flavors of the soup. Toppings include a slice of pork chashu that is roasted, marinated, and then grilled, bamboo shoots, Chinese greens, and a garnish of chopped green onions with red chili flakes and a slice of seaweed.
