Adorn Bar & Restaurant, the “New American” restaurant located within Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, has announced the appointment of Richie Farina as executive chef.

“Chef Richie Farina’s remarkable Chicago culinary career and comprehensive knowledge make him an ideal leader of Adorn as we usher in a new year,” said Four Seasons Hotel Chicago’s general manager, Stephen Wancha. “Richie’s extraordinary finesse, imagination and dedication set the tone for the next iteration of dining experiences for our local and international guests. It is an honor to welcome Chef Richie Farina to the Four Seasons team.”

Adorn Bar & Restaurant will debut Chef Farina’s culinary vision this spring, which will include a tasting-menu experience. A preview of the upcoming tasting menu will be offered during the week of Valentine’s Day.

RICHIE FARINA, EXECUTIVE CHEF

Chef Farina brings more than two decades of culinary experience to his new role as executive chef of Adorn Bar & Restaurant. He was most recently the opening sous chef at two-Michelin-starred Ever, and previously served as lead line cook at Monteverde and executive chef at one-Michelin-starred Moto. In his new role, Chef Farina will oversee the culinary operations at Adorn Bar & Restaurant, including new menu ideation, procurement, personnel management and more for the upcoming tasting menu offering.

Beginning his career at the age of 16, Chef Farina went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales in 2005. He moved to Chicago in 2008 and began developing his molecular gastronomy skills and creativity at Moto. Throughout his chef experience, Chef Farina developed a cooking style while honing his skills to create dishes. “I make serious food without taking things too seriously,” says Chef Farina. “I’m excited to offer a newfound sense of whimsy to the menu, and I’m looking forward to showcasing my take on experiential dining for guests at Adorn.”

In addition to Chef Farina, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago fortifies the culinary team with the addition of Director of Food and Beverage, Julia Casale. Julia joins the team in January 2023 from Four Seasons One Dalton Street, Boston, with previous hospitality experience including attending the Culinary Institute of America (C.I.A.) and serving on the Four Seasons Beverage Committee.
