Today, former Next chef Jenner Tomaska and wife and partner Katrina Bravo prepare for a July opening of Esmé in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood with a first look at what guests can expect from the restaurant. With the launch of Esmé's website, Tomaska and Katrina debut a video shot by Chicago-based, self-taught photographer and videographer Paul Octavious that offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at chef Tomaska's creative process within the raw restaurant space. Located on the corner of North Clark Street, north of West Webster Avenue.

With Esmé, French for “beloved,” Tomaska and Bravo aspire to reimagine the fine dining model with philanthropy and art integrated into the foundation of the experience, an expression of their shared vision for the community-focused restaurant. Tomaska’s fine dining background will be on display in Esmé’s tasting menu which evolves seasonally.

Throughout the year, Tomaska and Bravo will additionally curate collaboration dinners with local artists, creatives and luminaries such as Octavious with a portion of proceeds supporting the individual’s philanthropic endeavors or projects. When appropriate, pieces from collaborators will be exhibited throughout the restaurant during the menu runs, providing a platform for established and emerging talent.
