-The Ravenswood Farmers Market is officially opening Wednesday, June 12th. Shop and eat local at the open-air market that is kid-friendly and dog-friendly with live music performances and activities each week.
Open from 4 - 8 pm, the open-air market provides a place for patrons to purchase fresh, local food while connecting with farmers and food producers. Located at 4900 N. Damen Avenue, the market will be every Wednesday through October 16.
In addition to a variety of vendors, the farmers market features live music every week, plus a bouncy castle (weather permitting), sensory bins and playground for the little ones (opens at 6pm). Pet parents can also participate with their furbabies. The market is dog-friendly featuring on-site water bowls to keep the pups hydrated.
“The opening of the farmers market is always the final sign summer is really here,” says Megan Bunimovich, Executive Director of the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. “Residents and neighboring locals all fill the market to enjoy the fresh air after a day in the office and grab a bite to eat. It’s a community favorite and here every week into the fall.”

-Wolcott Tap is launching brunch starting Saturday, June 15th. Brunch will be available Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 3pm. Along with a few classic breakfast items, Wolcott Tap will be featuring their take on Chilaquiles, Chicken & Waffles, Eggs Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, Crepes (a few different kinds), plus more. They'll additionally serve $5 Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.
-DANK Haus has several events happening in June:
+Kick off Pride with the Lakeside Pride Music Ensemble and their take on the "Cabaret" on Friday, June 14th. The concert will be held in the Skyline Lounge with panoramic views of the city and vintage bar.
+Celebrate the longest day of the year in style for the Summer Solstice Stammtisch at DANK Haus on Friday, June 21st. The Pieptones are back to celebrate the summer equinox in their Skyline Lounge. Doors open at 7:30pm with live entertainment, drink specials, and food for purchase.
+Kulturküche Cooking Class on Friday,June 28th. Learn how to cook five variations of the classic German side dish, Spatzle. Course fee includes a free drink and generous serving. Space is limited. Register here.
