On Thursday, August 22 beginning at 5:30pm, Vistro Prime, Chef Paul Virant’s neighborhood steakhouse in downtown Hinsdale, will be hosting their first-ever ‘Steakfest’ event.
Chefs from some of the city’s steakhouses – Chris Pandel (Swift & Sons), Giuseppe Tentori (GT Prime), John Manion (El Che/Brasero) and Jose Sosa (formerly of UMMO) – will be joining Chef Virant as each cook up their signature steaks. The Vistro team will create several salads and side to accompany the dishes. Chef John Hogan of Whittingham Meats will be providing the steaks and a charcuterie spread. A selection of beer, wine, and cocktails will be available as will live music.
"Our menu at Vistro Prime features traditional steakhouse fare—steaks, chops, seafood—as well as the signature Vistro dishes you’ve come to know and love, but we are a steakhouse first and foremost and I’ve always been incredibly proud about the steak we serve at our restaurant,” shared Chef Paul Virant. “We’re super excited to have some of the best chefs in the city join us for Steakfest in August and allow the local community to try some of the best steaks Chicagoland has to offer.”
All profits from each ticket sold will be donated to The SPARK Youth Development Initiative. The local nonprofit provides counseling and therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Services are provided at no cost to the residents of Hinsdale Lake Terrace, Hinsdale Point, Waterfall Glen, and Echo Lane. Tickets are available for $125/per ticket and can be purchased on OpenTable.
