The first place winner will receive a $200 gift card based on popular vote. There will also be prizes for second and third place and every contestant will receive a prize pack. A dance party will be held with DJ Kinshame from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m.

The Rambler will celebrate Fat Tuesday in their weatherproofed beer garden with specials like a Shrimp Boil Plate with jumbo shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes ($18). Drink specials will include $8 Pimms Cups and $8 Sazeracs. The Rambler will also offer a themed Island Oasis cocktail menu featuring $8 Hurricanes, Strawberry Daiquiris, Pina Coladas and Bushwackers.
Starting at 7 p.m on Tuesday, February 21, guests can participate in New Orleans-themed music trivia. Trivia will be free to join, and prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.

Carnival at Carnivale at the Latin-inspired eatery celebrates the festivities and traditions of Brazil and New Orleans February 21-23. On February 21 & 22 guests will be treated to a variety of food specials in addition to pop-up entertainment from 7pm-9pm. On February 23, the restaurant will host two showings of its "Copa Carnivale," a 90-minute cabaret style celebration complete with samba dancers, aerialists, live music, food and beverage offerings and more. The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant is celebrating Mardi Gras on Tuesday, February 21 from 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. with an evening of Louisiana-style eats and beats. Guests may select a special Fat Tuesday menu while listening to live music from High-Hat Second Line, a New Orleans brass and jazz band with a Chicago twist. The Cajun-inspired menu will feature classics including Crawfish Mac & Cheese, Cajun Fried Chicken Jambalaya, Shrimp Po’ Boy, Creole Seafood Gumbo, and more. Specialty cocktails include Hurricanes and Sazeracs, with plenty of Abita Purple Haze beer flowing throughout the evening. The overall experience is available at $55 including tax and service fee, which covers the buffet, live music, and mardi gras beads.

At Michael Jordan's Steak House Chicago, the bar is offering New Orleans-inspired options to ring in this festive holiday. Diners can select classics like Hurricanes and Po' Boys served with garlic parmesan fries at the bar in addition to the regular menu.

François Frankie will celebrate Mardi Gras with Bayou classics such as Oyster Po’ Boys for $7, Beignets for $8, Crab Hush Puppies for $10, and Seafood Gumbo for $10. Cocktail specials, all priced at $10 each, include a Purple Martini, Hurricane, and French 75.

On Tuesday, February 21st, Frontier hosts their annual Fat Tuesday Shrimp Boil. For $49/person, guests can partake in (all you can eat) boiled shrimp, corn, and potatoes, in addition to one Abita or Hurricane & King Cake. Additional specials include $9 Hurricanes & Sazeracs and $5 Abitas. There will be two seatings offered, one at 5:30 PM and one at 8 PM. Seatings will be on a first come, first served basis.

Ina Mae Tavern
In addition to Ina Mae Tavern’s month-long celebration of Mardi Gras (featuring Tarot Tuesdays, Bayou Drag Bingo Wednesdays, Funk it Thursdays, and more), they will also be hosting a Fat Tuesday Burlesque Show.
The show will begin at 10 PM with host Miss Nyxon and will be featuring performances by Camille Leon, Muffy St. Clair, and more (along with live music).
Offerings include $12 Frozen & Rocks Hurricanes, $24 Frozen Hurricane Yards ($20 refills), $12 Jambalaya, $21 1/2 Dozen Chargrilled Oysters, and more.

The Market hosts a special Mardi Gras celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. featuring a live performance by Tubad Kings of New Orleans. The evening will feature specialty cocktails and dishes from participating vendors, festive beads with a purchase, a sampling from Moor’s Beer, and the special Mardi Gras collaboration between Chef Darnell Reed’s Southern concept Luella’s and Soul & Smoke.
