Fat Rosie's Taco & Tequila Bar, located in the Chicago area, is celebrating Mexican Independence Day on September 16th.
From Thursday September 15th through Sunday September 18th, all 4 Fat Rosie locations will be offering specials like a Freedom Margarita (the colors of the Mexican flag), a twist on their house margarita crafted with tequila and curaçao, infused with strawberry and kiwi puree.
Served up will be a traditional Mexican dish, Chile Nogada (also the colors of the tri-color) made with poblano pepper stuffed with shredded pork marinated with pine nuts, figs, and apples, white walnut salsa, topped with pomegranate seeds. There will be entertainment throughout the day, including Mexican folk dancing, Mariachi bands, DJ and other traditional celebrations at select locations.
