Fajita Factory, a new establishment by Another Round Hospitality Group, has opened its doors on North Halsted Street. The counter service restaurant features chips & dips, classic and specialty fajitas, savory and sweet empanadas, and large-format cocktails in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
Upon arrival, dining guests will place their order at the counter and meals will arrive at the table by Fajita Factory waitstaff. The Latin-inspired menu includes an array of chips & dips (roasted red salsa; salsa verde; jalapeno ranch; house made guacamole), selection of savory empanadas (beef and cheese; smoked chicken; Hawaiian; smoked BBQ brisket; kale and chickpea; buffalo chicken; loaded potato), classic fajitas (chicken; steak; shrimp; veggie), specialty fajitas (kickin' Korean chicken; "don't be a jerk" shrimp; opa! Greek chicken) and dessert empanadas (Fruity Pebbles cheesecake; s'mores; bananas foster cheesecake; Oreo cheesecake). Classic and specialty fajitas may be prepared as a salad, or served on a kitschy, compartmentalized silver tray.
The bar program features large-format Latin libations served in 20 ounce vessels (frozen, traditional and fruit-forward margaritas; sangria; blushing paloma; vodka yuzu caipirinha), along with 20 ounce cervezas on draft and several selections by the bottle.
Fajita Factory's decor boasts high top tables set beneath drapes of colored lights, counter seating near the open air kitchen, walls adorned with graffiti art, and a rear dining room with traditional table seating under an abundance of dangling chili peppers. During alfresco dining season, the restaurant will host guests on the backyard patio.
