Cantina Laredo, located in the heart of River North, will celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with unique Latin libations served in keepsake vessels. From October 5 to November 2, the modern Mexican restaurant will feature Espolòn tequila cocktails served in Cantarita clay cups, stamped with an augmented reality image that "comes to life" once it meets your smartphone. During the course of the month-long promotion, guests will be able to collect all four keepsake Cantarita cups with different Day of the Dead images (Ramón the Rooster; Calavera on Unicycle; Calavera with Machete; Skull and Crossbones).
The speciality cocktails include Spur of the Moment made withEspolòn Blanco Tequila, Disaronno Amaretto, Perfect Puree Guava, mango puree, cinnamon, fresh orange and lime ($11); and Rosarita’s Fight, featuring Espolòn Reposado Tequila, Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur, Monin Rose Syrup, fresh grapefruit, cucumber and lime ($12).
