Cooking Up a Cure, chaired by Chef Cleetus Friedman to raise money and awareness for scleroderma and support the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago, is back. The event, which combines Chicago chefs, breweries, wineries and distilleries returns Thursday, October 10, at Theater on the Lake. The event will take place from 6:30-9:30pm with VIP entry at 5:30pm.
All proceeds from the Cooking Up a Cure event support the Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago's ongoing mission of providing support, education and research for scleroderma patients and their families. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that causes thickening and tightening of skin.
The event provides guests a sampling of culinary items from a line-up of local restaurants, beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Music, silent auction and other surprises round out the event.
