Restaurant owner, Franco Francese, will be unveiling his new restaurant, Coarse Italian, on June 17, 2019 at Glenview Park Golf Club. The restaurant will open for dinner at 5pm. The restaurant - co-owned with Francese’s brother, Vito Francese - will feature Italian fare. Coarse Italian will offer lunch and dinner - as well as breakfast selections during the golf season - and features a full bar. Outdoor events will take place during the summer that will feature food, drinks, and live music.
Franco and Vito Francese also own Mattone Restaurant and Bar in La Grange Park. The name "coarse" is used to represent rustic in nature. Coarse Italian prides itself on its Italian-inspired dishes made by Luis Osorio who will serve as Coarse Italian’s Executive Chef. Osorio formerly of Enza in Glen Ellyn and Gaetano in Forest Park, now comes to Coarse Italian. Also a former Marine, Osorio has served the United States through three combat missions in Afghanistan before a medical discharge from his duties.
In addition to becoming an Italian dining option for the Glenview community, Coarse Italian is also available for banquets, events, and luncheons. Coarse Italian is located at Glenview Park Golf Club, at 800 Shermer Road, Glenview, Illinois, 60025.
