Mayor Brandon Johnson and the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) have announced the full food vendor and music lineup for this year’s downtown edition of Taste of Chicago, September 6 - 8. Taking place in Grant Park, the Chicago tradition will spotlight the city’s culinary scene, set against the backdrop of Buckingham Fountain. Alongside 40 food vendors and more than a dozen food truck offerings, free musical performances will be provided, with headliners including CeeLo Green, Yahritza y Su Esencia and Atlas Genius on the Taste Main Stage. Alongside the Main Stage headliners, the Goose Island Stage showcases a roster of local and emerging artists, including Gabacho, Asha Imuno and MJ Nebreda, along with DJ sets by Toyacoyah, DJ Hotrod and DJ Iggy to close out each night, respectively. Throughout the weekend, guests will also have access to family activities, special programming, free dance lessons and more.  

“For more than four decades, Taste of Chicago has grown into a global institution, inviting Chicagoans and visitors alike to enjoy our city’s expansive culinary and cultural ecosystem,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “In addition to the renowned food experience, I’m thrilled to welcome the performing artists from Chicago and around the world to Grant Park for a must-see weekend of entertainment, cuisine and community unlike any other.”  
  
Following a Taste of Chicago event in Rogers Park this June, DCASE also presents Taste of Chicago neighborhood events in Marquette Park (6743 S. Kedzie Ave) on Saturday, July 27 from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Pullman Park (11101 S. Cottage Grove Ave) on Saturday, August 17 from 12 – 8 p.m. leading up to Taste of Chicago in Grant Park. Both Taste of Chicago Marquette Park and Pullman Park events will have food vendors and food trucks, a full day of music, Chicago SummerDance lessons and a kids’ area with inflatables. 

Food vendors include 90 Miles Cuban Café, African Food Palace, Arepa George, Arun’s Thai Restaurant, Badou Senegalese Cuisine, Banato, Billy Goat Tavern, BJ’s Market & Bakery, Chicago Eats Market, Chicago’s Doghouse, Churro Factory (Xurro), Connie’s Pizza, Cumin Club Indian Kitchen, Donut Dudes, Doom Street Eats, Eli’s Cheesecake, Esperanza Kitchen Delights, Franco’s Ristorante, Frannie’s Café, Gaby’s Funnel Cakes, Harold’s Chicken, JJ Thai Street Food, Josephine’s Cooking, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Mano Modern Café, Moore Poppin Chicago Gourmet Popcorn, Oooh Wee It Is Restaurant, Ponce Restaurant, Porkchop, Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs, Sapori Trattoria, Seoul Taco, Star of Siam Thai Restaurant, Tacotlán, Tandoor Char House, The Original Rainbow Cone, The Sole Ingredient Catering, Yum Dum, Yvolina’s Tamales, Zeitlin’s Delicatessen and a wide variety of food trucks.    

Also on the SummerDance Stage, Eli’s Cheesecake hosts the annual Eli’s Cheesecake Birthday Celebration on September 7 at 12:30 p.m., carrying on the tradition of cutting a ceremonial 1,000-pound Eli’s Cheesecake Attendees will receive a free piece of cake following the ceremony, while supplies last.
