FORA, a New American restaurant located on the ground floor of The Emily Hotel, has partnered with Cincoro and Round Two Chicago for a Cinco de Mayo patio party with live music, dancing, a pop-up shop and a holiday raffle with a special rare pair of Nikes for the grand prize. The event takes place on May 5 from 4-8 pm. Round Two Chicago will supply the pop-up store at the restaurant with sneakers, clothes and a few surprises along the way, while Cincoro will supply tequila for Watermelon Margaritas, with each margarita purchased earning diners a ticket for the raffle. The first prize winner for the raffle will win a pair of Nikes from Round Two Chicago valued up to $500, second prize winners will earn a bottle of Cincoro Anejo with a swag bag of goodies, while third prize winners will receive a bottle of Cincoro Blanco and their own goodie swag bag.
Don Bucio's Taqueria x Taqueria Chingon x Herbivore
Chef Rodolfo Cuadros of Don Bucio’s Taqueria is collaborating with Chef Max Musto of Herbivore and Taqueria Chingon’s Chef Andrew Celestina for a Cinco de Mayo taco showdown, each chef offering their own take on plant-based tacos. The tacos will be served at Don Bucio’s Taqueria in Logan Square on Cinco de Mayo, May 5. A percentage of proceeds raised during the event will be donated to Casa Central, the largest Hispanic social service agency in the Midwest offering programs for children, adults, and seniors, following the Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Executive Chef Gustavo Ocampos and Chef Rodolfo Cuadros plan to serve up a Daikon Lengua Guisada for the taco showdown, packed together on a hand-press blue corn tortilla with salsa macha, lime, pickled onions and cilantro.
“We wanted to do something special this year for Cinco de Mayo,” said Cuadros adding, “Max and Andrew are two of my favorite chefs, and both do such exciting things at Herbivore and Taqueria Chingon. Going fully plant-based for our showdown is our way to offer something delicious to everyone, but more importantly, help out our neighbors in need with each taco you get on the holiday.”
Chef Max Musto of Herbivore has created a Korean Beef Bulgogi for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. The taco comes in a corn tortilla and is filled with slaw and spicy aioli.
Chef Andrew Celestina represents Taqueria Chingon for the showdown, and he’s serving his special Sweet Plantain taco on a fresh-pressed corn tortilla. The taco brings the heat with serrano chimichurri and is filled with coconut taro root purée and taro root tostones.
All diners have to do is order one of each taco, head to social media and declare this year's taco showdown winner. On top of the taco showdown, diners can take advantage of Don Bucio’s Taqueria’s late night Happy Hour with 50%-off margarita pitchers every Friday and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 pm.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. all four Chicagoland locations start the celebrations with Mariachi Bands to get into the Cinco de Mayo festivities. Drink specials and dedicated food menus will be available all day.

Tacoteqa, Broken Shaker’s taqueria and disco, will return to Freehand Chicago the weekend of Cinco de Mayo.
Established in 2016, the hotel café was turned into a late-night taco joint on Friday and Saturday’s featuring food and craft cocktails. In 2023, Tacoteqa is back for one weekend only and will be serving up four specialty tacos (any 3 for $16) including Jerk Steak, Chicken Tinga, Carnitas, and Chipotle Shrimp as well as three cocktails ($17 each) featuring Mijenta Tequila including the Turn Up (Mijenta, cucumber, basil, Thai bitters, Cointreau, lime), El Grito (Mijenta, mango, chamoy, Cointreau, lime), and Sexy Mexique (Mijenta, Mexican turnip, Cointreau, peppercorn agave, lime).

As diners enter the 5,325 square foot taqueria, they will be greeted with Mexican street food-inspired cuisine from Bodega’s retrofitted airstream trailer-turned taco truck.
The menu options will include a Jalapeño Brisket Quesadilla, with smoked brisket, jack cheese, roasted peppers and onions, charred jalapeños, crispy onions, red onion, cilantro, salsa rosada and birria consomé; Late-Night Burrito, Short rib, pork, chicken, Mexican rice, black bean refrito, jack cheese, potato sticks and salsa rosada, Build Your Own Bowls, along with taco options for every palate such as Camarón al Coco, Steak Chimichurri, Crispy Fish, Impossible Chorizo, among classics such as Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Barbacoa , and more.

FORA, a New American restaurant located on the ground floor of The Emily Hotel, has partnered with Cincoro and Round Two Chicago for a Cinco de Mayo patio party with live music, dancing, a pop-up shop and a holiday raffle with a special rare pair of Nikes for the grand prize. The event takes place on May 5 from 4-8 pm. Round Two Chicago will supply the pop-up store at the restaurant with sneakers, clothes and a few surprises along the way, while Cincoro will supply tequila for Watermelon Margaritas, with each margarita purchased earning diners a ticket for the raffle. The first prize winner for the raffle will win a pair of Nikes from Round Two Chicago valued up to $500, second prize winners will earn a bottle of Cincoro Anejo with a swag bag of goodies, while third prize winners will receive a bottle of Cincoro Blanco and their own goodie swag bag.
Don Bucio's Taqueria x Taqueria Chingon x Herbivore
Chef Rodolfo Cuadros of Don Bucio’s Taqueria is collaborating with Chef Max Musto of Herbivore and Taqueria Chingon’s Chef Andrew Celestina for a Cinco de Mayo taco showdown, each chef offering their own take on plant-based tacos. The tacos will be served at Don Bucio’s Taqueria in Logan Square on Cinco de Mayo, May 5. A percentage of proceeds raised during the event will be donated to Casa Central, the largest Hispanic social service agency in the Midwest offering programs for children, adults, and seniors, following the Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Executive Chef Gustavo Ocampos and Chef Rodolfo Cuadros plan to serve up a Daikon Lengua Guisada for the taco showdown, packed together on a hand-press blue corn tortilla with salsa macha, lime, pickled onions and cilantro.
“We wanted to do something special this year for Cinco de Mayo,” said Cuadros adding, “Max and Andrew are two of my favorite chefs, and both do such exciting things at Herbivore and Taqueria Chingon. Going fully plant-based for our showdown is our way to offer something delicious to everyone, but more importantly, help out our neighbors in need with each taco you get on the holiday.”
Chef Max Musto of Herbivore has created a Korean Beef Bulgogi for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. The taco comes in a corn tortilla and is filled with slaw and spicy aioli.
Chef Andrew Celestina represents Taqueria Chingon for the showdown, and he’s serving his special Sweet Plantain taco on a fresh-pressed corn tortilla. The taco brings the heat with serrano chimichurri and is filled with coconut taro root purée and taro root tostones.
All diners have to do is order one of each taco, head to social media and declare this year's taco showdown winner. On top of the taco showdown, diners can take advantage of Don Bucio’s Taqueria’s late night Happy Hour with 50%-off margarita pitchers every Friday and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 pm.
Fat Rosie's
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. all four Chicagoland locations start the celebrations with Mariachi Bands to get into the Cinco de Mayo festivities. Drink specials and dedicated food menus will be available all day.

Tacoteqa at Freehand Chicago
Tacoteqa, Broken Shaker’s taqueria and disco, will return to Freehand Chicago the weekend of Cinco de Mayo.
Established in 2016, the hotel café was turned into a late-night taco joint on Friday and Saturday’s featuring food and craft cocktails. In 2023, Tacoteqa is back for one weekend only and will be serving up four specialty tacos (any 3 for $16) including Jerk Steak, Chicken Tinga, Carnitas, and Chipotle Shrimp as well as three cocktails ($17 each) featuring Mijenta Tequila including the Turn Up (Mijenta, cucumber, basil, Thai bitters, Cointreau, lime), El Grito (Mijenta, mango, chamoy, Cointreau, lime), and Sexy Mexique (Mijenta, Mexican turnip, Cointreau, peppercorn agave, lime).
In addition to the bites and sips, live music will be bumping with DJ Shawn Rios kicking Cinco de Mayo celebrations off on Friday, May 5 beginning at 5:00PM. Also in the weekend entertainment lineup is Audio Jack and Janesita playing late night sets.

Start Cinco de Mayo with either a Lychee Margarita or a Hanami cocktail, a Japanese twist on a Mezcal Margarita created by Mixologist Javi Gonzalez. Satisfy your cravings with Executive Chef Macku's Mexican Surf & Turf-inspired sushi roll for $25. Continue the celebration upstairs at ESCO, KOMO's cocktail lounge. The night will be filled with fresh, handmade tamales, live congo music, and performances including a Mariachi band performance at midnight!

Oaken Bistro + Bar’s Cinco de Mayo special menu has margaritas such as classic lime, hibiscus and orange, and prickly pear. Margs can be paird with their food specials of street corn salad, quesabirria tacos and their take on arroz con leche.

Carnivale will host a mariachi band, folk dancers and specials including a taco platter, Cochinita Pibil, Pescado Tikin Xic, Cordero en mole de Castanas ahumadas, Dessert tacos and margaritas and drinks to pair.
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, a fast-casual taqueria by day and speakeasy-style lounge by night concepts, is opening its first Chicago outpost in the West Loop neighborhood on Cinco de Mayo at 912 W Randolph St.
As diners enter the 5,325 square foot taqueria, they will be greeted with Mexican street food-inspired cuisine from Bodega’s retrofitted airstream trailer-turned taco truck.
The menu options will include a Jalapeño Brisket Quesadilla, with smoked brisket, jack cheese, roasted peppers and onions, charred jalapeños, crispy onions, red onion, cilantro, salsa rosada and birria consomé; Late-Night Burrito, Short rib, pork, chicken, Mexican rice, black bean refrito, jack cheese, potato sticks and salsa rosada, Build Your Own Bowls, along with taco options for every palate such as Camarón al Coco, Steak Chimichurri, Crispy Fish, Impossible Chorizo, among classics such as Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Barbacoa , and more.
Beyond the taqueria, an alley-inspired hallway with graffiti will bring revelers to a porta potty door that will then lead them into Bodega's speakeasy – featuring a tequila and cocktail menu, as well as live music by local bands and DJs. Cocktails will include the Pico Picante, with tequila, mezcal, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeno, lime and orange bitters, along with beers on draft, seltzers and wine selections also available.

Participants of the Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl can choose from a variety of food and drink specials at Adobe Gila’s, Bub City Rosemont, KINGS Dining & Entertainment, Park Tavern, Pete’s Tiki Tiki and Sugar Factory.
