Mac’s Wood Grilled celebrates both Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby by adding all-day Cinco de Derby specials Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. Enjoy taco platters both days, including Beer-Battered Whitefish Tacos with housemade poblano corn relish (poblano peppers, corn, garlic, red onions), tartar sauce and fresh lemon; and Wood-Grilled Steak Tacos with grilled skirt steak, cilantro, and diced onions. Both platters include three tacos with a side of tortilla chips, pico de gallo and salsa verde ($12 each).
Cinco de Derby drink deals include: $4 Corona bottles, $4 Modelo bottles, and $10 Maker’s Mark Mint Juleps, which are made with housemade mint simple syrup and fresh mint. The drink specials are offered during regular business hours.
On Saturday, May 6, watch the Kentucky Derby Undercard starting at 11 a.m. and the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby live on 17 Ultra HDTVs(5:45 p.m. post time). Toast the Run for the Roses with a Maker’s Mark Mint Julep or choose from the normal drink deal lineup: $4 Paddy’s Irish Whiskey shots, $4 Pink Whitney shots, $5 Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey shots, $5 house vodka Mules, $5 Bloody Marys, and $5 house vodka cocktails (excludes Red Bull).
