Chefs Michael Sheerin and Sarah Jordan- who have previously worked together at Cicchetti and on various pop-ups throughout the city - are joining forces once again to showcase their take on Valentine's Day with a Chaucerian Feast at Ampersand.
Medieval literature lists many examples of knights taking off on adventures and performing various services for ladies as a result of their courtly love. This writing emphasized the importance of nobility and chivalry. Inspired by the writings of Geoffrey Chaucer and the regions in which courtly love was once practiced,Chefs Michael Sheerin and Sarah Jordan will present their interpretations of this period's history through food.Courses will include champagne and oysters; a "beggars purse" of lightly warmed cobia, chervil froth, and caviar; and smoked venison saddle and sausage cassoulet with slow-cooked winter roots.
Tickets are available here for $75 per person, which includes a four-course menu.
