The Aberdeen Tap (440 N. Aberdeen St.) will host a Christmas Day Pop-Up in collaboration with Executive Chef Ryan Wombacher of steakhouse Lawry's The Prime Rib and its adjacent gastropub, SideDoor, in River North. On Wednesday, December 25 at 6:00PM, guests will be offered SideDoor signatures like Prime Rib Chili topped with sour cream, aged cheddar, fried onions and pickled peppers ($9), Poutine with duck confit, foie gras gravy, fried eggs, Wisconsin cheese curds and prickled fresno chilis ($18), and the  Prime Rib Sandwich with au jus and creamy horseradish on a French roll ($18), all made with roasted prime rib from Lawry’s The Prime Rib. $4 Veltins Pils can also be offered in addition to Aberdeen Tap's beer, wine, and cocktail menus. Chef Ryan, whose culinary experience includes cooking at restaurants such as Siena Tavern, Brass Monkey, The Bassment, and Park Tavern, will be mingling with guests and cooking up a cheerful Christmas Day.
