The Sixth, Lincoln Square’s cocktail bar located at 2202 W Lawrence Ave from The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, is debuting “OY To The World”, Chicago’s first and only half-Hanukkah and half-Christmas pop-up bar this holiday season. From Friday, December 3 through Sunday, January 9, guests can choose from a festive lineup of specialty cocktails and small bites as well as several photo opportunities throughout the bar.

The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group is bringing the 50/50 split via “OY To The World”, offering holiday spirit for guests looking to immerse themselves in all things Christmas, Hanukkah, or both. With a distinct dividing line down the middle of the bar that splits the bar into two festive themes, guests will enter into a head-to-toe shimmering Hanukkah blowout, then head back into a classic Christmas bar, complete with twinkling Christmas lights and a ceiling overtaken by colorful hanging ornaments.

Throughout the bar guests will notice walls filled with fun and “cheeky” quotes that celebrate the both holidays. Guests can deck the halls with matzo balls, boogie-down in a Hanukkah disco party and snap a selfie with life-size cutouts of Elf on the Shelf and Mensch on a Bench. Or even sneak away for a kiss in the “Mistletoe Makeout Corner.”

“We’re constantly thinking of new ways to push the envelope and deliver unforgettable, first-of-its-kind experiences to each of our guests,” said Greg Mohr, co-owner of The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group. “We’ve had a long-time vision of blending cherished traditions into new and unique activations that bring people together in celebration. ‘OY To The World’ does just that. I’m thrilled for Chicago to experience this one-of-a-kind pop-up and ring in the holidays with us — whichever one they may celebrate —in style!”

At “OY To The World”, the Red-Nosed Reindeer meets the Rabbi. The pop-up bar offers a menu of six small bites from executive chef Nate Henssler that incorporate a spin on otherwise traditional holiday dishes and eight new cocktails created by lead bartender Eric De Toro Acevedo. Both food and drink menus half represent each holiday. Roots Pizza next-door (2200 W Lawrence Ave) is offering 10% off food.
