Chicago Gourmet returns September 21-29, 2024 with a new addition: House of Gourmet Italian Dinner. On Wednesday, September 25th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Chicago History Museum Italian Chefs Casey Doody, Tony Priolo, Diego Puddu, José Sosa, and Fabio Viviani will prepare a five-course, sit-down dinner alongside a fashion showcase curated by Italian fashion designer Alicia Perrillo.
The House of Gourmet Italian Dinner, emceed by Chef Mario Rizzotti and presented by Eataly, will offer guests to an evening of cuisine at the Chicago History Museum, alongside a fashion showcase in partnership with Chicago Fashion Week. Throughout the multi-course meal, models will take to the runway, presenting three looks with each course.
Each chef will showcase their culinary style with beverage pairings from Campari America and Marchesi Antinori. Starting with Tony Priolo’s Polpo Tonnato, a prepared octopus paired with grilled lettuce; José Sosa offers coal-roasted beets with a touch of whipped honey ricotta, crunchy pistachios, and radicchio; Diego Puddu follows with his Lasagnette Verde, layered with earthy mushrooms and aged Parmigiano Reggiano; Fabio Viviani’s braised short rib, complemented by charred cipollini onions and a red wine demi-glace. The evening ends with Casey Doody’s tiramisu.
The dinner will feature 15 looks from Perrillo’s Milan Fashion Week collection, Secrets Whispered.
