The
Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame has announced their twelfth event featuring the induction of Chef John Hogan as Chef of
the Year, Chef Mindy Segal as Pastry Chef of the Year, and
restaurateur Fred Hoffmann as Industry Leader into the Chefs Hall of Fame for 2018.
This year, the induction ceremony will precede the For the Love Of Chocolatehttp://ftloc.org Foundation’s thirteenth annual fundraiser at The Palmer House Hilton located at 17 East Monroe in downtown Chicago on Saturday, February 17, 2018. The two events have partnered together to bring an over-the-top fanciful foodie experience on a cold winter’s night in Chicago. The induction ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Red Lacquer Room immediately followed by Whimsy: A Dessert Dream Brought to Life, until midnight.
This event will not only honor the
inductees, it will also promote and celebrate Chicago's culinary preeminence and raise funds for
scholarships for student chefs. After
the induction ceremony, the evening will feature 13 full open bars, wandering
feast prepared by top local restaurants, current and past inductees, playful
performances and live entertainment. The preferred attire for the ladies will
be flowing floral gowns and flower crowns, and the preferred attire for the
