Once every 12 years, the Chinese lunar calendar marks a celebration near and dear to the heart of Chef Stephanie Izard: the "Year of the Goat." In celebration of today, as we ring in the Chinese New Year, Stephanie Izard is pleased to announce that her third restaurant will bring her take on Chinese cuisine to the West Loop neighborhood. Located at 857 West Fulton, two blocks away from her current establishments, Duck Duck Goat will open summer 2015.
"I was fortunate enough to recently go to China with my husband, colleagues and friends. While there, we visited Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and Hangzhou and were able to experience first-hand the local flavors," said Stephanie Izard. "Since then, I've been spending time in the kitchen practicing the different noodles I learned to make while there for Duck Duck Goat, and am looking forward to another trip to Taiwan this year to continue my research of Chinese cuisine."
